Chris Corsano & Bill Orcutt, 'Made Out Of Sound' CD (Palilalia)
Monday, August 30, 2021, 7:25pm (full listen)
Also one last listen to this before filing. The sounds on this disc hit me right in the right place, but there is something about the idea that it was recorded by each player alone, remotely (I think I read that this is true - it seems true), that I can't fully get into the idea of calling it 'amazing' or groundbreaking in any way. in some ways, if this was done live by say, a trio or quartet of people, I'd be much more stoked, but in that case maybe I should just go listen to my US Maple or Storm & Stress CDs; lovely stuff at any rate.
