there's a lot of doom and gloom going around in response to the usa presidential election results, which is understandable, but at the same time, i feel like all this fearmongering doesn't help anyone or anything. yes, it's okay to be upset and feel those feelings, but panicking and doomscrolling/doomposting won't change anything and it just hurts you and everyone else very badly. maybe i'm too optimistic but i do have hope that we will get through this, that everything will be okay someday. yes, there will probably be many rough patches, but in the end, we will overcome this. remember, this won't last forever. and during this time, we still have each other to be there for, for support, comfort, and whatever else we may need, and various ppl will continue to fight for a better future and aid ppl in need. and even after this is over, we'll still have each other and our communities fighting for a better future, which we'll be even closer to by then. plz do not give up, plz do not lose hope. we will live to see a safer, happier future, i promise. i love you all, stay safe 💕
