Certain models of Vesta tankless hot water heaters were recalled on Thursday over concerns of carbon monoxide poisoning. Vesta, Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a joint recall on the heaters following reports of cracked exhaust ducts, which Health Canada says can allow gases to escape inside the home, "posing a carbon monoxide poisoning hazard that can result in death or serious injury." Health Canada says anyone with the heater in their home should immediately stop using it and contact Vesta to have a certified technician install a free repair.
