Florida Stairwork and Carpentry

A shithole when I worked there. Stairs were installed with 3" drywall screws and Liquid Nails, courtesy of Doug's foreman Rick. I criticized Rick about this and got little more than a stupid look.

Screws are a code violation for an attic install. Why? They are brittle; they don't bend, they snap.

I also file a supposedly anonymous complaint with OSHA. By now I'm aware OSHA doesn't do anonymous.

三件「和天氣對抗」系列，都是試圖在一個不合時宜的狀態下去執行的作品。 希望透過一種無效的對抗，去彰顯出「無效」的荒謬和魅力。分成三件作品， 皆以錄像的方式呈現：「在雨中晒衣服」、「在雨中除濕」、「用一種會淋雨的方式撐傘」。 在一個事事講求效率的社會，我嘗試以它最討厭的姿態來生產藝術：也說明了藝術家在這樣的社會中生存的落寞無奈。 用「明知不可為而為之」的態度去進行抗爭。 透過在認知到無效之後，去進行一種已經知道結果的戰鬥，去把那些不可能更加執著地表現出來。
