Thinking about stoic Whumpee who hides all of their wounds from Caretaker, who is desperately trying to monitor them and make sure they're actually okay. And this continues for so long and Whumpee's state continues to deteriorate, and Caretaker finally caves and resorts to making Whumpee sleep in their room.

Whumpee is obviously very uncomfortable with laying in Caretaker's bed. They can't stand the feeling of being watched. They feel like they've been backed into a corner. And it's not like Caretaker enjoys it either— they hate adding on to Whumpee's stress.

But they continue to justify it because, well... It's for their own good.

Why are people so prone to reproducing? You always see the places with the most shit living conditions with the most dense population. Why? Why are poor people so stupid to reproduce? Why are people so adamant on even reproducing? Why bring a child into THIS world? Are people truly that egoistic to only think about their needs other than the cruel, worthless world they are choosing to bring another human being into?

New mother's always try to convince you into their cult of reproducing. Truly, they're so manic about it that it sounds like an actual cult. "When my baby was born, I felt like I was resurrected!" Or some bullshit about their life gaining meaning because of the infant. Why? How is your life genuinely so meaningless that you need to bring another human into it to get some meaning into yours?

Going back to the topic of poor people having too many kids. I think that just stems from most poor people being uneducated and having made a series of bad choices in their life, leading to them ultimately being pretty fucking retarded. Rich people on the other hand are so full of ego and so against helping other people they don't bother to spend a dime on another human other than themselves.

But reproducing, just, why? Why? I know we've only made it this far because of reproducing, but genuinely why? I don’t see the need for more people, or the need to continue on. There are too many people on this earth. Atp, people themselves should die out. We are all causing mass destruction against everything. We destroy everything in our paths due to our own ego and selfishness. Nothing good has come from our existence. We have built nations, languages, boarders, laws, anything and everything to separate eachother. We have felt the need to categorise every part of this world, instead of just living in it. Actually living in it. Now I'm not saying I live life to the fullest, definitely not, nowhere near that. I'll admit I'm a loser who rots at home. I'm not living my life to the fullest and truthfully I don't really care. The world is completely fucked. The mere existence of everything humans have made, done and caused ever makes me sick. It makes me angry to look at this society. The most egoistic selfish people run every part of a floating rock that was meant to just let us eat, breathe and live.

We have destroyed the earth as we used to known it. Once it was beautiful and healthy and now it's like a Catholic girl turned crackhead whore. Dirty, filthy, full of shit. Humanity is fucked. We need to all just die out. Nothing is worth actually living anymore. We are all chasing that quick pleasure nowadays. Nothing is made to last.

I just fucking hate society. I hate social norms. I hate people. I hate the destruction we have caused. I hate big farma corporations and their billionaires chasing their next buck from the poor shits who suck their cocks. I hate overpopulation. I hate consumerism. I hate the concept of money. I hate the law. I hate segregation. We all die in the end, why are you so fixated on another subhumans fucking skincolour?? If you want to make a change in this world then go after the guys running everything. I hate billionaires. I fucking hate everyone. Nobody is worth anything in this world. Nobody is important. Its been a while since ive done one of these show Analysis/Theories. HERE is one of them.

THIS IS MOSTLY JUST ME YAPPING! DON’T EXPECT CONSISTENT THOUGHTS. Be aware of that.

I think the case of Macaque’s powers in the show is super interesting, as he doesn’t appear to have any shadow related powers in the Journey To The West, only VERY FEW demons in the book have powers that could be interpreted that way, Macaque is not one of them. And given the… new development of his powers in season 5 I think it might be helpful to visit analyzing his powers in relation to the JTTW, in case something big is revealed.

Quick list, Here is text from the book that states his powers.

“The fourth is the Six-Eared Macaque[Liu’er mihou, 六耳獼猴] who has-

1. A sensitive ear,

2. Discernment of fundamental principles,

3. Knowledge of past and future,

4. And comprehension of all things.

These four kinds of monkeys are not classified in the ten categories [of life], nor are they contained in the names between Heaven and Earth. As I see the matter, that specious Wukong must be a six-eared macaque, for even if this monkey stands in one place, he can possess the knowledge of events a thousand miles away and whatever a man may say in that distance”

This is SO INTERESTING TO ME.

I’d like note that Macaque may not show the ability to directly hear the past and future within the show, he does exhibit other abilities he was stated having within the JTTW

First, “A sensitive ear” we see that in this scene in Season 3 Episode 8 Benched

Next, “Discernment of fundamental principles,” this one is up in the air. I can’t find any where that directly explains the text. And searching up ‘Fundamental principles, or discernment of fundamental principles, leads to all sorts of results. So for now Ill leave you with the google AI overview, because I don’t know how to turn that off..

Discernment of fundamental principles is the wisdom-based ability to look past surface-level details, emotions, or immediate consequences to identify the core, foundational truths, moral implications, or spiritual realities governing a situation. It involves sorting through complex, similar-looking options to distinguish good from better, or right from wrong.

All I can give for this one, is when Macaque used to try and reason with Wukong, For instance

“Look, Wukong, I get you’re excited. I do, but—Crossing the Jade Emperor is gonna have consequences and….you’re not listening..”

He also helps MK through his monkey problems and moral dilemma in season 4. BUT THIS IS A MAYBE. im not sure exactly what it means, IF YOU DO OR HAVE IDEAS PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!

“Knowledge of past and future,”

This one I have a less on but Macaque has referenced future events!! Here are some moments. This could be an ability, or just assumptions and observations, but most likely tied to his JTTW Powers, even if not directly. Or its too keep his mysterious vibe and personality…and serve the audience suspense.

“Something’s coming, something you’re not even close to ready for.” “You know this is just the calm before the storm…right?”

There is also these lines, which could possibly go with Discernment or Knowledge of past and future, still not sure. But it’s important to me. “Hey, You’re finally getting it! No matter what opinion it’s giving you, you’re always going to end up in the same spot.” Easily, Macaque could have felt this way if he heard the future, knowing whats going to happen, not what MIGHT happen.

“You were supposed to realize by now, that the choices the game is giving you aren’t the only choices you’ve got. Life isn’t some prewritten thing like a video game where you have to do what the tutorial says.” Like this! Macaque could have made different choice, he might have known what was going to happen, and didn’t try to divert it. But at the same time, that would feel like a plot hole…so ive been ignoring that possibility. I think this better fits with discernment.

“Point is, it’s time to start making your own choices. something I wish I learned a lot sooner than I did.” Unrelated to power, I think this is more likely about how Macaque kept following others, he followed Wukong even when he disagreed with him. And then followed the brotherhood when Wukong was gone, probably eventually going back to the mountain as we don’t see Macaque with them again in any flash backs.

I think this—if Macaque can actually hear the Past and Future—is very important. Because it would explain why he often tells Mk to “do something else” or “choose your own destiny” he can do something else besides what the future might be showing. ‘Destiny’ can be changed.

OH and when he realizes Li Jing is about to put another Circlet/fillet/pain crown on Wukong. But this is also easily dismissible as a wise assumption, or he just recognized the spell. Macaque is very smart.

“And comprehension of all things.”

This one I feel is easier to explain and show moments for. As Macaque does it often. But what I’m interpreting ‘Comprehension of all things’ means is this little explanation from the Buddha in The JTTW. “—even if this monkey stands in one place, he can possess the knowledge of events a thousand miles away and whatever a man may say in that distance.”

MACAQUE DOES THIS OFTEN. Excluding the compass that led him to the gang multiple times, there are countless times where Macaque just SHOWS UP, or knows where they are. Mainly in Season 3, like when he sends MK Directly to Mei and Red son. This definitely wasn’t just a lucky guess or accident.

He also brings the mayor right to them, once again, knowing where they are and what they were planning.

There is also when Macaque finds MK in season 4, though this could be excused for him being on the mountain, but HE DEFINITELY HEARD MK EITHER WAY.

Macaque alerting the Monkie Kids after sensing The brotherhood seconds before they arrive. Either ‘knowledge of future’ OR he can hear that far.

And in season 5 episode one when Wukong and Macaque bicker about MK, Wukong asked Macaque “If he found anything” I wish they expanded on that, I’m genuinely so intrigued. What EXACTLY was he looking for, and was it a mutual plan if Wukong was active in the investigation?

I know Macaque could not hear outside the Pagoda because he had NO CLUE what was happening in season 5. So thats a minus for knowledge of the future.

Its useful to know Macaque CAN hear far and wide, there is evidence and examples of this in canon, within the fandom there is a lot of widely accepted assumptions and headcanons.

It is honestly is so hard to know what was confirmed or shown in the show VS what was a theory or fanfic. Like ‘Glamours’ WHERE DID THAT COME FROM??? I know where the white fur and colored ears Headcanon for Macaque originated, but it’s so widely accepted that Macaque has Six ears with all those JTTW powers, AND for some reason shadow magic.

I wanted to make this post. Because we don’t ACTUALLY know if Macaque can hear the past and future, its a safe assumption, due to his JTTW powers but we never actually see or hear about it in Monkie Kid. All he ever says is ‘Six eared Macaque’ we never even see the SiX ears, we just assume they are there due to concept art, his lego figurine, and fanart. Its not a bad assumption, im just saying it’s not actually technically canon. So I like to make these posts where I can point out what does happen in canon to my own brain.

Ive ran out of room for screenshots so I might do a part 2 explaining his shadow powers, and copy powers. I could ramble about LMK all day, just ask me a question and I could make 13 of these 😭

You could make the characters close as possible from canon! Thats also a good choice in my opinion! I respect that!

Nerd Rant Incoming For Writers/Creatives

K, I'm going off on a dumb, long ass tangent about basic herpetological inaccuracies I see WAY too much! This just an info dump that is applicable for writers/creators who need or want references/resources to provide more scientific accuracy in their work.

(and take it with a grain of salt, ya don't need no PhD to write or make art, this is just for those who want it🤙)

Its so silly, I know I'm a huge poindexter nerd, but if I see one more person spread misinformation to push narratives when the real deal is just as if not cooler, I'm going to pop and it won't be confetti y'all will have to clean up. So! This will primarily focus on albinism vs leucism, snake misconceptions, and poison vs venom, and I'll keep it as short, sweet, to the point in layman's terms for ease of use as I can.

First! Albinism and Leucism are two different things. Albinism is total loss of pigmentation (no melanin, pink/red eyes) and Leucism is partial loss of pigmentation (think blues white dragon k?). These are genetic conditions and ONLY albinism appears in animals AND humans. Humans can have autoimmune conditions that can affect pigmentation, but it isn't congenital like Leucism is.

Now! Snakes, good God in heaven above the misinformation on them, if I had a buck for every time some idiot claimed the story about them sizing you up to eat, I would solve all world problems, give everyone a trillion, and still be the richest gal on the planet. They don't do that, do not villainize these beautiful animals (don't do that to any animal please).

They eat mammals yes, but they can also eat other reptiles, birds, invertebrates, amphibians, fish, even their own depending on the species! They can be sub/terrestrial, arboreal, or aquatic, and every single species is unique, both in behavior and appearance.

Another common misconception is their 'aggressive nature', a snake will never bite you out of malicious intent or any for that matter. In the wild, a snake's first defense is mobility, it will flee at the first opportunity it gets; if it cannot, it will puff, hiss, or rattle to make a noise to say, "I'm here, I want to be left alone, distress me further and we're gonna have issues." They can size up, or even false strike, but a full on bite is a last resort tactic, and that's IF an offender is in proximity of range. This is them saying, "Aight fucker you've forced my non existent hand." They aren't evil, they get scared and want to live just as much as we do.

If I'm bitten when I'm working with them, it's because they miss the mouse I'm trying to feed them, young and new to the world so they're always more defensive out of instinct, or my own fault for not reading the signs sooner. If I'm bitten when I'm out on a hike, it is because I was not aware of my surroundings or there wasn't time for warnings (again, they flee at first disturbance). We cannot project human emotional sentience on animals that do not operate in the ways we do. Which leads me to the next part.

Whether it's Hollywood or cultural relevance, villanization has put a target on them and caused unfair, learned fears around these animals. They do not harbor emotional intelligence like humans do, they can be docile, they can be scared, but they do not hold personalized aggressive intent like media has portrayed them to. They have been the subject of stories and iconography throughout human history, and while the light they've been painted with isn't always the fairest, they are a crucial part of the ecosystem and deserve the utmost respect, do not upturn your nose at those who have been around longer than we have.

NOW THIS NEXT ONE IS AS LONG AS A SUMMER DAY IS BRIGHT

'Poisonous' and 'Venomous' ARE NOT INTERCHANGABLE TERMS! You can cover both with 'toxic' yes, but! 'poisonous' is through ingesting, inhaling, or absorption through touch and 'venomous' is through injection.

Why does this matter? Different animals have evolved to use these as both defense and offense, and not all are created equal! For example, there are rarely true poisonous snakes like the Rhabdophis Keelback, they get their poison from a diet of toxic toads, you take away the toads and you take away the poison. This is called dietary sequestration, they cannot produce toxicity on their own, so they evolved to gain it through what they eat (fun fact, the Red-Necked Keelback is BOTH poisonous and venomous). Now! I work with Dart frogs and its the same principle, you feed them melanogaster fruit flies and boom! No toxicity! Captive bred animals raised on this kind of diet approach will never produce toxicity, but wild caught animals will take a very long time for it to permanently leave their system, even with a diet change.

Stay with me now because shits about to get whacky!

'Venom' isn't a single type nor reaction, there's 4 Main, off shoot variations, and all wreck your shit in various ways.

Myotoxic Venom: attacks the muscular/skeletal structure, both locally and systemically. It does this by using a protein to attack the tissue, causing it to inflame and breakdown.

Now this is different from Cytotoxic and Proteolytic Venoms; Cytotoxic Venom(1stm) will straight up cause on site necrosis, dead tissue. This one is a big baddie, it is incredible painful, destroys all tissue from the afflicted area, and typically requires amputation to prevent spreading. Proteolytic Venom(2ndm) is based on an ezyme to break down proteins, think of this one like stomach digestion. This is a common type of venom found in snakes, but is not limited to them, other animals also produce this too.

Then we have Neurotoxins! Neurotoxic Venom(3rdm) is trippy as Hell, this speed runs your nervous system into the ground, it essentially is like having a stroke and overdosing at the same time. It is fast acting and while we have antivenoms for this, it can leave extensive permanent damage. Hemotoxic Venom(4thm) is just as scary as Neurotoxins, this one messes with your blood, which is why hemotoxic components also play with other venom types! This can clot your blood or prevent it from clotting, it can break down your blood, tissue, destroy organs, this is a venom that while slower to act will leave a mark every place it touches.

Please note that this is again, laymen's terms and a VERY surface level overview. Venom is INCREDIBLY complex and for some, even two of the same species can have venom variation. Not every venomous animal has an antidote, and as animals evolve and adapt to the ever changing enviorment, so does the toxin.

This is the most common shtick I see and had to speak up. If anyone even made it this far, congrats, you now have more brain grooves!
