Status: Ongoing
Summary: The Lady Bone Demon hears destiny whispering and becomes convinced MK as the Harbinger meant to fix the world. She decided he must be her tool to forge her destiny. Her thrall is sent to retrieve him (Macaque is included in this) And Mk is stolen from FFM. He grows up under the LBD’s ‘care’ but his real caregiver is Macaque, who is reluctantly serving LBD.

ᦠ The Harbinger’s Sacrifice AU

Summary: The Harbinger’s Sacrifice AU or ‘True Fate AU’ is one of the earliest cycles. A repeated loop where the world is approaching its natural end. The Jade Emperor willingly steps down (dies??), and MK awakens as the Harbinger fully grown, as he was originally meant to.

Summary: What If MK had been left on FFM instead of Megapolis. That is the basic premise for this AU. A big section of this Au takes place when Mk/Xiaotian is a kid, up until he’s about 16. Then he gets ‘crowned’ and taken/stolen from FFM (and his father figure) to full his destiny

✦•Cross-AU Timeline Guide•✦
A quick breakdown showing how my AUs connect. IT IS COMPLETELY EXPECTED TO BE CONFUSED.
𖦹 The Core Timeline Structure
Everything in my Monkie Kid AU multiverse (which feels wild to say) revolves around Price of Power.
PoP is the main and central AU. Everything else is either a prequel, a branch, or a past-cycle variation that builds toward it.

᯽ Price of Power – Part 1 (The Prologue Era / Monkey Mountain)
This comes FIRST. Always. It’s the background for almost every one of my AUs
Summary: A long-form prequel following young Wukong and Macaque with their troop (which will include actual demon monkeys). The timeline follows JTTW with some variations and creative liberties, but I’m trying to keep it somewhat compliant.
Things you’ll see: Wukong getting his staff, Troop shenanigans, The brotherhood forming, The war with Heaven, Wukong’s defeat, Wukong being sealed under the mountain.
This part ends the moment Wukong is trapped beneath Five Elements Mountain.
That moment is the pivot point for the entire multiverse.
(I also don’t want to write a billion divergent backstories. Also also! This may be when MK is placed in the stone? Maybe?? Because surely Wukong would’ve noticed a giant goddess on his mountain?? I don’t know yet...)

𖦹 The Cycles – All Alternate AUs
All these AUs happen between Wukong being sealed and MK breaking the cycle in Canon.
Each AU is its own cycle, not occurring alongside the others but within its universe’s divergence. If that makes sense.
In each cycle, MK awakens in a different way. Either to Nine, LBD, or other forces. These changes destabilize destiny, causing the world to collapse early because the cycle in the PoP multiverse follows the Harbinger.
Thanks to Nuwa, the world is tied to MK. The moment MK is born, the world slowly begins to unravel. Sorry guys, MK is Fate now, I guess.
That’s why canon MK thinks he’s cursed. (He is.)
These cycles are entire universes born from altered timelines.
The order of the cycles exists, but you do not need to know it to enjoy the AUs.
Only Nine keeps track, and his reactions don’t matter until later, but it isn’t necessary info to read the stories.

᯽ Price of Power – Part 2 (The Cycles End / My Season 6)
This is canon compliant
Eventually, one iteration manages to break the loop.
→ Canon MK (the show).
He’s the first version who successfully disrupts destiny enough to stop the cycle from resetting again (excluding ALT endings from some AUs).
He is the first and last Harbinger to break free.
But that means MK faces threats completely unknown and unexpected. Even when he dreams of past cycles, he isn’t sure what’s coming. His powers become overwhelming, and MK struggles to control them. At least now he has friends who refuse to let him face any of it alone, no matter how much he tries to.
