Make Up Brushes - The best value for money!
I used to always spend a fortune on make up brushes thinking that the better the brand, the better the brushes - turns out after years of experimenting, I was wrong.
I’ve tried so many brushes - from £5.00 to £50.00 and I can honestly say that when it comes to foundation, contour and powder brushes - you don’t need to spend a whole load of money to have the best brand of brushes in your make up bag - often you find it is the name on the brush that you pay for, not the quality of the brushes them self.
My fav brushes of all time (for foundation/concealer and my contour) is the U-Spicy brush collection, I did a review on these months ago and I still love them. They’re so reasonably priced, you get 10 in the set - 5 of them are face brushes and are AMAZING - the rest are blending brushes but I find they are too big for blending eye shadow but work well for contour lines and concealer!
I’ve spoken about these that much that all my friends have them and can’t do without them either, forget about spending £30.00 on one brush when you can get 10 for £11.99!!
When it comes to eye shadow brushes, I prefer to pay that little bit extra just because I find that makes a difference but these brushes are in the same line of quality as the Sigma Sigmax Kabuki Kit which is £59.99! You’ll also see that the brushes are quite similar in shape too.
For a while, I was using the Real Technique face brushes but I didn't find they were that great, especially the face brushes.
Here is my blog post from last year on the brushes :).
Here is where you can purchase them if you fancy trying out some good quality brushes for an amazing price, I know you’ll be so surprised with the quality because I know I was really pleased and still am, I’ll need to be buying myself some more : U-Spicy 10 Piece Brush Set.
The only thing I would say is that after time (I’ve had mine just over a year) the brush handle can become quite loose but a little bit of glue and you will be good to go. The hairs of the brush still are perfectly intact and really firm which is super important to me when applying my base.
Have you tried out these brushes? What’s your thoughts on them? If you know of any good, affordable brushes, let me know!
Natalie :) xoxo
