random personal post! hooray!
so I just finished my first week of classes for my sophomore year of college. here's what i'm taking:
Ethnic and Racial Studies: Gender, Race, and Class in the Media
Spanish American Civilization
Ethnic Studies is great! I had the professor last year, and she is wonderful. I'm really looking forward to getting deeper into this class.
College Writing is shit. It's a gen-ed that I didn't take as a freshman, so I am one of two non-freshman in the class. The professor is super unprofessional. He swears in almost every sentence he speaks. Although that doesn't bother me that much, it's still unprofessional for a person with a Ph.D. He is super scatterbrained, and there's no set structure to the class. It's very unorganized. Basically, I just need to make it out of this class with my sanity. I just need a C or better, so it will be a piece of cake (hopefully)
Chem is good. I wasn't that great at it in high school, but for some reason I'm actually looking forward to it. I'll have to do work, definitely, but I feel like I can get a good grade out of it.
Spanish is decent. My Spanish is rusty from not using it all summer, and the prof speaks in only Spanish, so it's a transition. We watched a video about the Aztecs today and how they sacrificed a whole bunch of humans. It was sweet.
Yeah, but anyways, my first week was decent enough.
But now, the most exciting part of my week.
Tonight, I am putting on a DOCTOR WHO PROGRAM! AHHHH! I'm so excited! People in my residence hall are all invited to come to the basement of the building and watch Doctor Who for 5 hours! I'M SO PUMPED!
So, anyways, that's my random personal post. If anyone ever wants to talk about college life or majors or minors or any kind of stuff, totally just message me! In case you wanted to know, my major is Undecided, in the pre-medicine program, with a minor in Spanish.
Anyone have any ideas for what episodes I should show? Wanna talk about college? Hit me up! :)
