ㅤThe pap pap pap of tiny feet running down the corridor and coming to a halt right behind him immediately catches Itachi's attention, even if he's currently so focused on the onigiri he's carefully molding into different shapes, but it takes him a couple seconds to fully react - exactly because he's so focused, and he needs to slowly place down the miniature fish lest he ruins the last minutes of hard work. Once he does, though, and he turns around to find his nephew's cute chubby cheeks puffed out in as much outrage as a toddler can convey, he must try his best to not appear too amused; not wishing to upset Suen further.

ㅤOf course he does. Ryuu is Itachi's son and Mikoto's grandson; showing love by tormenting another through merciless cheek-squishing is a tradition that clearly runs in the family. Of course he does, Suen has such adorable, squishable little cheeks! Shifting to a crouching-down position in front of his nephew after quickly washing off his hands, he resists the urge and, instead, gently musses the toddler's hair before holding out a hand to him.

It's genuinely frustrating how he can hear the teasing lilt in Kura's voice and yet still find it endearingly pleasant. He resists retorting in a similar manner because talking back and forth with Kura can be addictive and sometimes distracting.

"Kura. This is practically the center of Konoha. How did you even get in here?"

// Hanging from the ceiling, Kura even walked around a little bit to rub it in. He'd only seen offices such as these from the outside. Air-conditioned and sleek looking, it was miles better than his village.

With the sun setting over the trees and creating a warm glow over the village, Kyohi was getting ready in his room. There was no bothering with his hair, he didn't think there was anything he could do to make it look nice, and so the yukata he had...

Was also not super nice, but at least it was presentable. One last look at himself in his mirror and he peeked out of his bedroom. Kakashi wasn't anywhere to be seen...So...he slipped out of the house without a word, leaving a note on his door for his father to find.

He'd rather not have too many questions when the butterflies in his stomach were already trying to do him in. And with that, he was hurrying along to the spot they'd decided to meet, under a certain designated tree nearby the festival.

Haruhi huffed a bit. “I may be short and all... But I’m actually 16 you know.” She told him. “And I was heading this way too as a matter of fact.” She added.

He doesn't want to argue with Suen on this, and the way his voice is low indicates he isn't going to attempt to convince him. Instead he simply grabs onto the saddle next to him on the ground, lifting it up onto the back of the horse. He begins to strap it down, working with deft hands and the knowledge of what he's doing. The truth was being from a ranch and already strong enough to survive on his own, him and Suen could last for years without help. Provided they were willing to damn everyone else in the process.

His eyes doesn't look to Suen as he works, he knows that the unapproving look would be withering. Yet his hands do stop for a moment, clinching down a strap, as Suen mentions the women and children. As if for a moment brief contemplation weigh on his brow, as if he almost reconsiders his position. Before he spoke softly. "I know, Suen." He begins to hoist himself up onto the horse, grasping the reigns as he brings it under control. He looks down to Suen from atop the horse.

"They needed our help. Like we needs theirs. I don't wanna' lose what makes us people."

Compassion, humanity. These things which some call righteousness, that some might regard as a luxury, was the most important resource they had. He offers a bemused smile to Suen, as if he knows that he is going to get an earful once he returns from this next supply run.

"If not for them, then for me?"

Shiny lost the Meme

{ ♪ } -- The redhead looked up at the question, tilting her head with a little smile. It only took a moment for her to cast her gaze around them both and return to him as she gave a laugh.

"You're in New York, friend. There's almost anything you can think of to entertain yourself. I find Broadway fun, but it's pretty pricey. There's a ton of karaoke places, things like escape rooms, almost any kind of cuisine you could want... I'd need to know a little about your preferences before I could make a good recommendation."

Tilting her head, she held a hand out to him.

"I'm Bella. What brings you to the Big Apple?"

sometimes he regrets his decision of staying. sometimes he wishes so desperately to go, to leave earth and go on to where he originally planned on going — sometimes he could remember where that was, sometimes he couldn’t. tonight was one of those nights where he couldn’t remember where he originally wanted to go, so he thinks of simply returning home, to be whole again. he misses the distance / the cold, isolating air, but he loves his family too much to leave. cares for them too much to break their hearts for even a moment, even if it were just just a night or two. he’s too much of a coward to go at this point. this is why moon was outside to begin with, originally taking a walk purely to clear his mind and eventually that walk turned into a wonder, which turned into a river and before he knows it, someone’s speaking to him. the sudden comment startles him, causing him to turn his attention from the sky to the source of the voice. response from them? what was this person talking about? there’s no thought about how he should stop it / act more human and go from walking on water to submerging himself in it, so it never happens. “ i won’t freeze, ” he replies, voice as gentle as his thoughts. no, moon won’t freeze, but his fingertips are less fingertips and more blue-ing ice. he won’t freeze, but looks cold. he’s frozen before, this wasn’t enough to freeze him. “ who— ” first thing’s first, he stops and turns to fully face the other, beginning to walk back to land so the two of them can speak without the distance between them. as he does so, the water he walks upon barely even startles, hardly registering the footsteps as footsteps. when he’s back on land, “ who is the them you speak of? ” / @uzchis, continued.

@uzchis​: With his parents' birthday, Suengri never knew what to gift them, since they practically had everything already. So for this year, he settled to cook a full course breakfast with some of his father's favorites. "Happy Birthday~"

     Oh--He wasn’t expecting Suengri to be the one to make breakfast. If anything, he thought either he or Naruto would end up making it for them and he had to stop and stare and let it settle in that he really could just relax today. His hand came up to rest on his son’s head, a fatherly pat.

     “It looks great.”
