I’m so relieved that all of Star Trek made after TOS has ignored Janice Lester’s statement that Starfleet doesn’t allow women as captains, not only because the idea of that being the case in the 23rd century is ridiculous but because we otherwise wouldn’t have all the awesome women captains and admirals from before that point in the timeline like Hernandez, Georgiou, Cornwell, Batel, V’Rel, etc.
[jim kirk standing in front of his captain voice] excuse me she asked for no pickles
just posted a little fic about jim and v'rel finishing their game after 3x06
i'm so hung up on jim "youngest first officer in starfleet history" kirk getting picked for that role by a vulcan captain he butts heads with. who else was on her shortlist? why did she settle on this lieutenent in his mid-20s?? i love the idea that from an outside perspective it doesn't look like they get along but they really do. they fight with each other on the bridge and then they go off-shift and play chess together. sublime.
i need to see v'rel wearing stupid hats on away missions SO BAD
if captain v'rel has a million fans, then I am one of them. if captain v'rel has ten fans, then I am one of them. if captain v'rel has only one fan then that is me. if captain v'rel has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. if the world is against captain v'rel, then I am against the world.
mirrorverse v'rel 👀
