I live in Vancouver and while I have only ever seen the players from behind the glass I know multiple people who have met them/have stories about them so I’ll try to pick out some of the key points I’ve heard.

• My boss is apparently friends with the Canucks GM and has met Quinn Hughes on multiple occasions, says he’s a super nice down to earth guy.

• My boss also says there’s a huge trade coming for Vancouver (he told me he was with Allvin and his sons (who play with my boss’ sons) and he was getting nonstop phone calls about apparent trades).

• My friend served the Hughes family at Craft after the Firefighters night (I was at that game it was brutal) and Quinn told her he likes ice cream cake lol.

• My friends coworker allegedly hooked up with Quinn and said he is not packin and didn’t have good stamina (shocking considering his stamina on the ice).

• Not Canucks related but my friend who is from Toronto saw Vince Dunn in a club absolutely hammered and making out with two girls that were NOT his girlfriend.

That’s all I got for now. It’s crazy how easy it is to bump into players around here and honestly I’m pissed it hasn’t happened to me yet lol.

if ur gonna talk cheaters in the NHL Vince Dunn has to be a topic of convo…he’s the most obvious and shameless cheater ive seen!!! literally gross and i think his gf knows.

Oh absolutely he’s definitely part of that NHL crowd that cheats the most. I always say, the guys who never post their girlfriends want to look single, and that’s true, but then there are the ones who do post them, acting all in love, and still cheat like crazy Vince is one of those. trust me, she’s not clueless, just conveniently blind. But that’s the thing with a lot of these girls they’ll swallow their pride and let themselves be humiliated publicly, as long as they can still say, “but he’s mine.” Pathetic, really.

I feel like regardless of how she is as a person people just love you hate on these women for no fucking reason at all and its so ridiculous. Yeah in this case she might be racist therefore the criticism and hate is deserved but if she wasn’t dating their favourite player 90% of ppl would not gaf that she said the n-word. Again im not saying most wags are angels or even good people but the amount of vitriol and abuse that gets thrown at these women is insane. Im not necessarily talking about you admin but Ive seen literal pages dedicated to “exposing” the players cheating and sleeping around yet theyre still called “overall a decent guy” while the partner subjected to this gets called every name on the book, and when you call them out theyre always like sorry I dont worship the ground they walk on like you do xoxo… its sickening to watch. Worship and treating someone like a normal human are totally different things. Sorry for the rant idk if anyone even wants to hear this but Im honestly so fed up of the slut shaming and bullying being put on here everyday

this is honestly such an important convo, so thank you for opening the door for it. i’ve been thinking about this for a while too. there really is a double standard on here when it comes to how wags and players are treated. like—daniella said the N word a few years ago and got (rightfully) called out, but vince literally said it recently and barely anyone’s talking about it. why is she the only one still getting dragged?

just like i mentioned before—people love to take one bad thing a wag did and use it to justify full-on hate. meanwhile, players can do the same or worse and somehow escape that same energy. we’ll criticize a girl for staying with a guy who cheats, but completely look past the cheating itself. it doesn’t make sense.

i always try to stay respectful with anons, and i get that feelings like jealousy is real—especially when you’re super invested in a player. but at the end of the day, these guys are choosing to be with these women. no one’s forcing anyone into anything. it’s okay to feel things, but it’s not okay to project those feelings into cruelty or double standards. ❣️
