"it's a little funny, you have to admit." victoria couldn't exactly say she was doing her best to curb the laughing, though, knowing that it would only stress emmett out more, and honestly, that was better than anything.

she hadn't even said anything to him yet, having just ran until she found him, her gift guiding her to wherever it felt safest, and that was here. his arms around her, her head against his chest.. she took a few moments to just feel him, the comfort he offered her helping her mind relax before she finally looked up, eyes locking with his. "hi baby." talking about the fight could wait, all of it could fucking wait, while she just took in the fact that she was herself, that he was here. that was all that mattered. "i missed you."

"mine and anne's relationship is complicated to say the least.. she's my sister, the only family i ever knew, considering we never knew our mother and our father hated us.. i wanted to be just like her, i would follow her around like a lost puppy.. when she left me, i had lost everything, so i gave up everything to have her back. watching her die broke me, i won't discuss it. but now that she's back.. i think she doesn't understand what became of me, what i had to become to survive this world. i want to have that relationship again but i am terrified of disappointing her. i just wish she would be proud of me but i think i lost a chance at that a long time ago."
