Here’s some debris pics from our encounter in Broadwater, Nebraska on May 10th, 2018. We were chasing the storm which had become high precip so we had to hang back a bit. We first noticed some over turned irrigation equipment, then a flipped semi. Once we got into Broadwater there was debris everywhere- trees down, sheds gone and strewn across fields. We even saw a few snapped telephone poles.
Weather chaser Reed Timmer retweeted the Inflow Chasers, with an image of a funnel cloud. I remain skeptical that it ever was a tornado, as no one has claimed to see it on the ground.
Earlier in the day we had gotten a sounding indicating a strong chance of wet microbursts thanks to Vaisala. And I stand by that assessment.
