I know that in the poppy war, Rin mentioned how much she yearned for Atlan’s praise but now that she’s with the Dragon Warlord, it seems like Vaisra knows she’s desperate for praise. Even before, in Sinegard, she sought out praise from her teachers. I’m assuming Vaisra is taking advantage of that, and using it to ensnare Rin deeper into his little fucking web.
