So I couldn’t resist...

Valkyrie and her covenmates; Lucy and Crystal.

(They didn’t have sneakers for shoes or purple hair so... Yeah. I improvised how I picture the ladies in their “witchy outfits”. And no, Valkyrie doesn’t do the makeup thing. She’s not into it.)

*after a school day during Valkyrie's middle school years, she's been quiet*

Griffin: Out with it.

Valkyrie: So... I'm suspended for three days next week...

Griffin: *glaring* Why? What did you do?!

Valkyrie: The teacher pointed a ruler at me said 'there's an idiot at the end of this ruler' and... I asked her which end she was referring too...

Griffin:*trying hard not to laugh* Okay. You're not grounded. That was pretty good.

I feel like this is what Valkyrie sees every time she knows shes about to do something stupid/dangerous.

I just remembered a Q I wanted to ask 2 weeks ago but forgot. In the "canon" Winx fics Griffin has her theory about the Balance, right? And that the Light and Dark Dragons balance out each other. Didn't that make her think that both Bloom and Marion had to be alive? Bc of Valkyrie the Light Dragon Fire Keeper had to be alive as well. And Valtor was in Omega but he wasn't dead. So Marion had to be alive too bc of the Balance. Did Griffin consider that possibility and how did she feel about it?

Griffin had her theory!

It was one of the reasons she joined the Coven in the first place, to get first hand proof of her theory of Balance in motion. (And then she got caught up in a... Few other things... And a few people... And then genocide was mentioned and.... She decided that she was up for a lot of stuff, but genocide wasnt it.)

So she knew Valkyrie was safe and alive. And... Well she didnt know for sure if Valtor was dead or not because no one really knew about what happened on Omega until AFTER he had escaped. (Honestly it was well believed that Omega slowly killed its prisoners by using magic draining ice to freeze them from the inside out.)

And no one knew a Dragon-damned thing about what happened to Marion and Oritel.

But Bloom and Daphne?

Griffin did her best. She hid them in the Nether and hoped to come back and get them after the battle.

But Daphne being Daphne (and Oritel's younger sister in this AU because canon kept fucking with her age so much) couldn't stay away from the fight.

So the battle happens. Marion and Oritel are thought to be dead. And Daphne and Bloom have vanished.

Griffin is panic because she just lost her friends, their planet, and the kids. (And then panics more because valkyrie has the dragon fire unchecked.)

But nothing happens. No bodies of the younger royals are found.

That means one of two things: (both something that Griffin and the Ancestral Witches from beyond the grave realize) Either Marion's daughter is alive and well somewhere (which prompted Hagen's search) or... The Light Dragon picked a new host to inhabit. (The new host was thought to be Stella, actually. Because she is the heir to Solaria's throne and Solaria is closest to Domino in all things. Which is partially why the Trix targeted Stella and why Griffin was skeptical about Bloom after Valkyrie tells her she met the winx. Because she thought Valkyrie had sensed Stella instead. At least until she meets bloom herself.)

Honestly, she's thrilled that the Dragon lived on from that fight. (And even excited when she meets Bloom and can just see this image of a younger Marion with a big Oritel!attitude. Not to mention how relieved she is that Valkyrie and Bloom get along... Most of the time.)

💍🎨&🗺️ for Valkyrie?

1. 💍 Does my oc have a specific item that is priceless to them but (or may not be) completely worthless to someone else? Is there a story behind this item or is it just because they like it so much?

-Valkyrie has this big book of myths that her mother would read to her from at night and she still has it and reads it from time to time. Its a comfort item and holds so many great memories of her and her mother in the pages.

She also recently (as of the end of her junior year) received a necklace with a talisman of her dragon on it from her... Dad(?) (She still has mixed feelings on Valtor... But the necklace is one of the few items that connects her to her Obsidian heritage... And to him.)

2.🎨 Is my oc artistic? Can they draw or paint or do they prefer another medium? Are they a writer or musician or do they do something else? Give us a quick rundown of what they can get creative with!

- So she's not much of an artist or baker or painter or drawer. Poor Helia tried to help her out a few times when a class assignment called for a drawing or something creative, but that just wasn't her thing. It frustrated her more than anything.

She is a bit of a writer though... But its mostly journaling things and research papers. (Her research on magic and its differing forms is coming along beautifully and she writes in a clear and concise enough manner with just enough imagination that those reviewing her work can see exactly where she's headed with her work.)

And since some people say a good sword fight is like a dance and that dance is an art form... You could say she has an artistic sword fighting ability? Maybe? (She is fast on her feet and accurate with her thrusts, but it depends on your thoughts of what art is if you consider it artistic or not.)

3. 🖼 Does my oc like going on adventures? Have they ever discovered something really interesting and significant or are they too busy getting lost? Where is their favorite place they've been? Their least favorite?

-I wouldn't say Valkyrie is an adventurer. But she does enjoy traveling and learning new things about the Magical Dimension.

During her senior year, she managed to put together that along with the five known core elements of magic, there are two others that are often forgotten: life and death.

She also found the origins of the Wizards of the Black Circle. (Sort of by accident. Sort of on purpose. She and her coven were discovering why some planets died and they found some origin stories...)

Valkyrie's favorite places she's been too: ShadowHaunt, Linphea, New York City, and Obscurria.

The least favorite: Eraklyon, Los Angeles, Domino (simply because she feels powerless there due to the realm's magic energy and she can't stand that feeling), and Ulmoira.

This isn’t an excerpt, but this is by far one of my favorite lines of dialogue that I’ve written (so far):

Ogron rose to his feet, giving that all-knowing smirk. “I promise, we only want what’s best for everyone. And in this case, that means turning ourselves in.”

“We’d like to try and make peace.” Anagan grinned, giving a wink toward Flora. “You believe me, don’t you little Flora?”

Flora stood up straight and tall, her burn mark showing as her wings fluttered and ruffled her top. “I have more faith in the Ancestral Witches and their promises than I do in you and your words.” Damn…

So this is sort of what I had envisioned for the suit Valkyrie wore when trying to fuck with Mandragora while the others saved Marion and Oritel.

I think she'd pull it off well. :)
