⁣ Canon Powershot SX730 HS ⁣ Taken on 27/04/2019.⁣ ⁣ Montalto Ligure, another jaw-droppingly beautiful medieval gem in 'Valle Argentina' in the province of Imperia.⁣ ⁣ 'Montalto' means 'high hill', a name that it certainly lives up to because it's over 300 metres above sea level.⁣ ⁣ From the very top of the village you are rewarded with amazing views of the valley, including the French Maritime Alps if you are lucky with the weather.⁣ ⁣ Turning to the village now, I found it to be deceptively small as I got lost quite a few times in its incredible stone passageways, as you can see in this photo set. But then that's arguably the best way to visit a medieval town or village.⁣ ⁣ Moreover, I was enchanted by the medieval beauty and quietness of this sleepy ancient village.
