- ella had arrived in ceres centropolis when she was seventeen years old. however, after her arrival in ceres centropolis, she was forcibly taken in by hyrian’s home. since she was a minor and her parents were unable to be located, they had decided it was best to keep her held in the facility. although ella is capable of fighting for herself, hyrian’s home had plenty of weaknesses - between being submerged in constant darkness and being surrounded by a mixture created by maasai and sambuuru communities. blood TW // the mixture of her blood mixed with goat milk and sage dripped around her kept her weakened. // end blood TW
- ella had been inside the dome when it first came up. she was held in hyrian’s home and when the dome appeared, most of the officials took off to protect themselves. ella had been left unattended and after a few days, the mixture that held her prisoner had started to fade and she was able to escape from there. when she left from hyrian’s home, she swore she would never be held prisoner again; she also swore that she would take apart the entire system of hyrian’s home.
- ella’s birth parents are bronson olusula and callista kruger. although ella arrived, her younger sister has not. at this point, ella knows that her sister isn’t going to arrive in the city. not now, not ever if she has anything to do with it.

- ella has the ability to use trans-formative magic called TAKE-OVER, as the name suggests, allows her to take over the powers and appearances of particular creatures she really "knows". like her father, she needs to make a pact with the creatures in order to borrow their strength. however, until her father, she doesn’t summon them to fight for her. rather, she uses their abilities.
- her signature take-over, and one that has earned her the nick-name the ‘SHE-DEVIL’, is one of darkness. it allows her to take over the appearance, abilities and powers of a demonic being. this is initiated by seemingly covering her body in flat, square-shaped scales-like parts, which subsequently disappear, revealing her new appearance. in this state, her eyes, eyelashes, ears, and hair all change drastically, and dark, thin markings appear all over her body. her forearms and hands become covered in scales, and each sprouts a fin-like protrusion on its outer side. she also grows a large, stocky tail, seemingly made of metal plates or scales.
in this form, her abilities are as follows:
immense strength: when employing her demonic powers, her strength is increased to the point where she can easily break through solid rock with her punches.
flight: in this form, she is capable of sprouting a pair of wings from her back at whim, which allow her to fly.

--; Vance Valentine can't remember what his birth family was like. Not anymore. He used remember them, or rather, he tried really hard to remember them but now, he can't be bothered to keep being haunted by the ghost of people who don't care. Although Vance's story is sad, he wasn't the first underage kid that was abandoned by his family upon discovering his mutant abilities. From what he could remember, the family had gone to an amusement park and then Vance was lost and that was it. His mom had bought him a soda, his dad gave him popcorn and then after that, he couldn't find them. Unfortunately, Vance had been so young that he couldn't remember his address or even his home phone number; he was at the age where he could only the stupidest, most obscure thing was what he could remember.
--; There were a lot of places that Vance tried to call home. However, they never worked out. It wasn't uncommon for people who fostered children to discover their mutant abilities and then relinquish their connection to the child. Vance went from home to home and he couldn't remember which home it was that finally brought him to Ceres Centropolis, but that was one he was most thankful for. The last foster family he stayed with suggested the be raised in Altimira Academy. After that, the rest is history.
--; Altimira Academy has been the most amazing part of Vance's life. It was there where he realized that he wasn't a freak and that people like him can be treated normally. All of his life, he thought that he wasn't deserving of anything; he often blamed himself constantly for the troubles that had come into his life. Altimira made him realize that wasn't the case. Altimira also taught him to control his abilities. At least, control them until his brain fritzes for a moment - too much electricity will short circuit him for a moment.
--; Vance never grew up wanting to be a hero but at the same, he knew he would never want to be a villain. For awhile, he kept his head down and just tried to blend in but when he would read or witness his fellow Altimira Academy alumni doing incredible things, it started to tap away into him. He wasn't useless. He could do something, if he really wanted to. Vance might not be one of those masked heroes that ran around to save the day, but he wouldn't hesitate to help where he could.
--; Vance isn't the brightest bulb of the bunch. This isn't to say he didn't study when he was at school, because he did. He tried really, really hard. This is in correlation with his abilities. There's a certain voltage that if he uses more than it, even a little bit he completely short-circuits and won't be of much help. He would have a blank stare, spaced out and can barely move. Though, if he uses attacks with less voltage, less impact, he'd be able to be more help.
A B I L I T I E S --
--; Can generate lightning and thunder on command. His lightning is a bright, almost white yellow that has a tangible quality to it when the voltage is high enough. It's rumored that he can change the color of lightening, but he's never gotten to the point where figured out how to do that.
--; He can control, generate and absorb electricity. He can absorb electricity from machinery, nature, etc. and use its charges to power his attacks. By being able to generate and absorb electricity, he can use this to turn things that require electricity on and off; if a phone needed charging, he could hold it in his hand and charge it.
--; At the moment, he's been trying to learn how to transform his entire body into lightning-like state. Although, he's never been able to do that. Not yet. He usually ends up dazed and confused and need to go to sleep after trying to complete this training.

++ The 1940s was a hard time for the Woodward family - history was not on their side during this time. Curtis was born on July 4th and his father blessed him with the idea that he would change the world. However, by the time he was 10, that idea was no longer something his mother supported. Through the unfortunate circumstances of the era they lived in, Curtis' father was taken away from them - murdered in the streets without so much as a concern from the police. After that, Curtis' mother told him to stay quiet, keep his head low, don't make any waves and maybe he would make it to the marrying age.

++ Curtis was born as a mutant. He displayed such strong abilities that his father had dreamed up the idea of him becoming one of the most well known names across the United States. Unfortunately, Curtis didn't pursue his abilities - his mother warned him, worried that he would lose his life to the prejudices of the era they were in. He didn't need to add another reason for those who were unrightfully in power to hate him further. The world was unfair, but Curtis didn't let it get to him. He would endure and persevere.
++ During his first year in college, Curtis had gotten an internship into a science program. Although he was a well-educated man, he got sent to the lowest branch, that no one wanted to participate in. He didn't mind. He knew that he would need to work hard to get to where he wanted to be. At this time, he met Dr. Landon Reynolds. Dr. Reynolds ended up being one of the most important people in Curtis' life.

Dr. Reynolds offered Curtis a chance to use his abilities for good - he gave him a chance to be the Symbol of Peace. That was what his father had been dreaming of for him. So, Curtis took the offer.
++ The Patriot was born.
++ Donning scientifically modified armor, Curtis made his debut against the O'Conolley Crime family as The Patriot. It dazzled the news reporters and the headlines that there was a real-life American hero saving the day. Curtis finally thought he had found his calling. The Patriot had taken down many rising villains groups and never missed the chance to save someone, anyone that needed it. He didn't discriminate against who he saved - although, that wasn't always the case for those who needed saving. Some people stay steadfast to their most awful shades even when it's a life or death matter.

++ The Patriot's final match against an hardened villain ended poorly. The villain had developed a virus that attacked the mutant gene inside of The Patriot. Though the Patriot won that match, he wasn't left unscathed. The virus that had entered his system attacked the mutant gene, before it started to wear away his immune system. Curtis was left almost completely deflated after that attack.
++ Dr. Reynolds worked on a cure, but never found a way to completely defeat this virus. Instead, he was able to slow it down. The result ended with Curtis only being able to use his full powers and strength for only a few hours a day; the longer he uses his abilities, the effects of the virus on him. When he's not in the public eye, his demeanor is extremely different from the known one of The Patriot - it was a side of him that Curtis was embarrassed to show to the world.
++ At this time, Dr. Reynolds suggested they put Curtis into a cryogenic state with hopes that when he woke, there would be a cure against the unknown disease he had. After he put Curtis in that state, Dr. Reynolds' lab was destroyed and the man was led to death by the villains that The Patriot had once held back. However, the machine that held Curtis had been untouched for decades. No one seemed to even know that he was even in there. Until recently ...

++ At the moment: Curtis is back from his froze state. The world is a very different place, one that he feels so out of and unaware of. However, he'd never been one to lose to obstacles and he wouldn't start now. The world may have changed in terms of technology, but everything is still the same. There is still need to fight for good and justice and that's what The Patriot stands for.
ABILITIES --
So, basically ... He has Superstrength, superspeed, near-invulnerablity (this isn't true anymore, but that's not something he will admit because a trump card is a trump card), immense stamina (this is also not something he will market that he doesn't have because he can't let the villains think they can have an upperhand!) and most importantly, he's got an indomitable spirit to help push through even when the going get tough. His superstrength is so strong that if he concentrates his power, the sheer force of that punch could change clear the clouds above and bring sunshine down.
SUPER CHEESY FUN SUPERMOVES --
TEXAS SMASH - He uses a powerful straight punch that creates a massive amount of wind pressure. So much so that, he could level a building if it's hit with it!
DETROIT SMASH - It's similar to the Texas Smash, but he uses a downward punch so powerful that its updraft clears the coulds.
MISSOURI SMASH - He uses a focused straight chop to strike his opponent in one quick motion. He usually uses this when he sneaks up behind enemies and clocks them in the back of their head.
CALIFORNIA SMASH - He attacks with a frontal somersault that leads into a downward punch.
CAROLINA SMASH - He attacks with a double hand-chop that crosses the opponent's body. If he concentrates hard enough, it could possible break the target in half.
NEW HAMPSHIRE SMASH - He blasts himself towards the enemy and smashes his body into the enemy. Basically, he tackles them with the full strength of his weight.
OKLAHOMA SMASH - He whirls around while enemies are attached to him. He spins with enough force to throw them off and have them crash into the concrete.
UNITED STATES OF SMASH - Using all his power, The Patriot delivers a massive punch, then slams his opponent into the ground with his fist. It is powerful enough to send shockwaves reverberating the surrounding area and can incapacitate enemies of extraordinary caliber.
Curtis cannot sustain himself in full power anymore. He can only do this for a few hours before he’s completely exhausted and expended. He can use his full strength in short bursts, but the more he uses it, the less likely he can use all of his abilities during a major fight. Unfortunately, this guy can’t break the habit of going around and saving people. So, he’s constantly wasting his allotted time to help whoever he can. This is going to be a huge problem if there’s ever a major fight headed his way.
KIKUHITO OMIKAMI, who strongly resembles SHUNSUKE DAITO, is more commonly known as WAR. They are a THIRTY-TWO year old DEMIGOD (DESCENDANT OF SUN GODDESS AMATERASU) & THE HORSEMAN OF WAR and they have been in the city for SIX MONTHS. They have been known to have SOLAR MANIPULATION, and as WAR, additionally have been known to have WAR EMBODIMENT. While they are not WAR, they are working their day job as an ADJUNCT PROFESSOR OF PSYCHOLOGY at CERES CENTROPOLIS UNIVERSITY. They are known to be + SHREWD & + AMBITIOUS and - DISILLUSIONED & - HYPERCRITICAL.
Past
Kikuhito is actually the banished crown prince of the Japanese royal family, and all Japanese royalty are considered to be direct descendants of the Sun Goddess, Amaterasu.
Ever since Kikuhito was young, he’s always hated the idea of ‘rulers,’ whether it be royalty/monarchies, presidencies, and organized religions. He’s a true anarchist and thinks humanity should be allowed to determine its own fate, and if that means driving itself into chaos, then so be it.
In university, he joined an ancient, cult-like secret society of similarly minded rich folk who were all secretly behind the world’s most high profile assassinations (think Franz Ferdinand and JFK) and the most devastating wars.
The years following university, Kikuhito was independently involved (meaning he did not involve his royal family or country) in planning and executing some of the most recent disturbances around the world. He was recently arrested by the United Nations for his crimes against humanity (and consequently was stripped of his royal title) and was supposed to stand trial at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
Prelude
But before that could happen, the Horseman of War reincarnated in him while he was in prison, and also awakened his (unknown) dormant sun demigod powers. So for a trial run of his new powers, Kiku incited a mass prison break and riot against the guards and was able to break out.
He then made his way to Ceres Centropolis to meet up with his siblings and lay low for a bit as a local psychology professor since he’s definitely a wanted criminal now.
An identity crisis can only begin to describe what Kikuhito went through when realizing just exactly what being War's vessel meant. Ultimately coming to the conclusion that his lifelong ambition to stop conflict through anarchy was impossible so long as War exists was the final nail in the coffin for him.
Seeing no point in fighting back, Kikuhito gave War free reign. During the time the Dome was up, War had gone a killing spree, collecting souls for some yet undetermined purpose. He had killed indiscriminately, and saw it as if there was no one to miss the victims, there was no harm --- not that he had truly cared in the first place. He just liked doing things with a purpose. And if the Dome went away, then the victims could easily just be passed off causalities of the fighting that had occurred months prior.
Present
War has taken over completely, and only lets Kikuhito "out" on his "days off" like some dog.
Now that the Dome is gone, War is happy that he can go back to scheming grander plans with the whole world as his chess board once more. This time, he is also armed with a number of souls to do his bidding.
Kikuhito, on the other hand, realizing that the Dome kept War in and prevented him from wrecking havoc, is looking for ways to bring it back despite his limited time on the outside. He is in the minority that the Dome was beneficial.

AMARA WOLFF ODAVIA was born into a clan of high royalty in a place that no longer exists. Her lineage derived from gifted beings that derived from scholars to descendants of Gods. she got married to a scholar and had three beautiful daughters.
her sire was one of the original vampires. they were building their coven and needed a worthy mate. amara won the vampire lottery right off the bat. as cliché as it sounds, the two eventually fell in love, which led to repercussions where her clan wanted them dead. it was there where amara lost all respect for humanity as she chose to fight for their relationship and the newfound species she belonged to. so they raised hell and annihilated her own bloodline.
when it was over, amara did not feel any loss or grief (—except for her daughters, but she refuses to admit that out loud periodt.). instead she felt the complete opposite. proud, prideful, powerful and at peace with herself. it was evident she flicked off the switch of her humanity and grew to love who she became. the more amara’s mate trained her, the more she evolved into a powerful vampiress. what they didn’t realize was that she inhibited special abilities beyond the vampire physiology. years of conquering the world together, amara eventually grew out of loving others, losing every last bit of human emotion she had in her and instead became enthused of the darkness that consumes her.
caring only about herself, she decided to use her abilities on her sire and make them forget about her completely. it was the last act of love that she had done before cutting off all ties to such emotion. they went their separate ways and amara lived her life to the fullest by taking away others in the process.
she stumbled upon apollyon a few years before wwi. they were a slow growing organization that shared the same values as her: power, destruction and global domination. she started off as an agent who became successful in planting false truths, in order to cause conflict amongst powered countries, companies, institutions and people. she moved up the ranks and eventually became director. name one world wide phenomenon that was either deadly, unfortunate, and unexpected and you can bet that she played a part in it.

To name a few, she killed her own daughter only to have her revived as an Immortal, she turned her son in law into a vampire, fought SHOT and to sum up as always, Apollyon had an agenda of their own
She wants to make it CLEAR that the Rise of Atlantis wasn’t a fail in her eyes. Although the Elementalists fucked up her plans for the fallen City, the outcome of chaos, destruction and loss was...STILL there.
Mission accomplished—even though half of her empire was stuck under the dome. She liked to look at the bright side of things, it was an investment as she assisted in providing funding to taking it down. In her true nature, she was playing both sides at her convenience.
SEASON 2
Amara continued running Apollyon on her own with the help of Karina and who ever was left. The grind never stops in her industry, same goes with the bloody murders and random acts of killing. With or without the dome, the Director of Apollyon resumed things as is.

During one of her vacations, Amara was in New Zealand when she stumbled across her sire, Cepheus. Wary that his memories will return, she became ambitious and consulted Apollyon’s coven and a certain diwata who was now her brand ambassador, to eliminate him and take on the Original Vampire bloodline. She refused to die.
Odette, Regent of Apollyon’s coven and a descendant of Hecate, along with Arabella Reyes conducted an extensive ritual in transitioning Amara into a hybrid. The spell bound procedure took a month long, taking a toll on all three women. However, with the resources and already established power they possessed, they shortened it to that much as this usually took years or even decades to complete and perfect.
Once she became a hybrid vampire-witch, Arabella granted her with a wooden stake from her Mountain (Mount Makiling) and cursed it with an ultimate death on an immortal. From there, Amara carried out the assassination as she staked Cepheus in the heart. She summoned a spell to end him entirely and transfer the Original title onto her. This would save ALL vampires that were turned under his bloodline. Amara believes she should be hailed a hero for saving an entire specie.
Fast forward to the current timeline, Amara found it unfortunate that everyone was alive on the other side of the dome. She expected more deaths than that, but at this point she’ll take what she can get and was glad to have Apollyon HQ back to herself.
Amara uses this power by creating vivid and specific areas/scenery and willing her victims to see, or make them see nothing at all. the visions are so real that the victims can easily forget reality.

Amara is knowledgeable and controlled when it comes to her magic. However, she’s skillful in divination (the power to gain information), enchantment (the power to influence the minds/emotions), and illusions due to her visual projection ability.
