Werewolf!Dean and Vampire!Cas hugging

(Werepire!Destiel again *lol*)
So Cas is a vampire and he has a date with human. And okay, yeah, usually âdating humansâ is code for drinking their blood and maybe leaving them for dead, but this human is kind of really good looking? Like, and a really good kisser???
They met at a bar where Cas was stalking new food/dates, and this guy - muscles and green eyes and freckles - sat next to him, clinked his beer bottle to the edge of Casâs untouched water glass in some strange mimicry of a toast, and said, âIâm looking to make a mistake.â
Cas, bemused, told him, âYou might regret it.â
Taking a long swig of the beer, the guy let his gaze meander down Casâs body. âIâll chance it.â

Itâs because of Deanâs nightly walks that he finds him.Â
The walks werenât always a tradition of his. Walks are usually boring to him. But ever since Dean was assigned to the small town in Maryland, heâs been feeling oddly suffocated. It could be the tiny size of the church that he preaches in every Sunday. It could be the narrow-mindedness of the people around him. It could be the increased miles between him and his brother.Â
It could be the murders in town that brought him to Maryland in the first place.
Whatever the reason, Dean had taken to going on a nightly walk to clear his mind and engage his thoughts. He was heading home, taking a shortcut through the forest, when he stumbled upon an unusually large log.
He caught his balance and squinted at the ground. Not a log. A person.
Dean knows heâs a priest and shouldnât swear, but he also knows heâs not a very good priest, so when he sees the man lying on the ground in a fetal position, wrapped in tattered clothes, Dean breathes out, âJesus Christ.â
Heâs unconscious, as far as Dean can tell. Or dead; thereâs dirt all over the manâs face and his lips are blue. Dean subconsciously pulls his coat around him tighter.Â
Leaning down next to the man, he lightly pats at the manâs cheeks. The man flinches and moans.Â
âWe youâre not dead,â Dean says. âThatâs good.â He pulls at the manâs thin shirt. âHey. Buddy. Can you stand?â
The man groans again. Deanâs eyes track the movement of the manâs hands, where theyâre pressed up against his stomach: dark red blood is blotting his white shirt.Â
âShit,â Dean whispers. âOkay. Okay, listen. Iâm gonna help you, okay? But you need to do some of the leg work. My house is a mile from here, and I canât carry you the whole way. You understand?âÂ
The manâs eyes flicker open; theyâre a brilliant blue and hazy, but cognizant. He licks his dry lips and nods.Â
âAll right. Here we go.â Dean grabs the man by one arm, snakes his arm around the manâs waist, takes a steadying breath, and lifts him to the ground. The man cries out, scrambling his feet against the wet leaves, helping Dean put him upright. They find their balance leaning against each other. The man, barely conscious, lolls his head against Deanâs shoulder.
âWhatâs your name?â Dean asks.Â
âCastiel,â the man says hoarsely.Â
âIâm Dean. And Iâm gonna get you help, okay?âÂ
Castiel says, in a gravelly voice, âIf I die, burn me.âÂ
âWell. I dunno if weâre there yet, buddy.â Dean hooks Castielâs arm around his neck, bears most of his weight on his injured side. âLetâs focus on getting you somewhere warm.âÂ

Castiel didnât mean to find Dean. In fact, it happened by complete accident.
Heâd been in a bar, some place with a name not worth remembering in a town that doesnât matter. Typically, Castiel prefers to avoid humanityânot for their safety or his, but simply because they tend to be annoying. Theyâre like infants, red-faced and squalling without any true sense of the world around them.
But immortality can be lonely. And Castiel is weaker than he will ever admit.
Dean was there by complete coincidence. The location was just as meaningless to him as it was to Castiel, except he had stopped in a road trip, desperate for a bit of alcohol to chase away his woes before retiring to the motel room he had rented out next door. He was the one to approach Castiel. He was the one who attempted to seduce a creature that, previously, he didnât know existed.
It felt wrong to sleep with Dean while he was so naive, so despite the low buzz of interest in his gut, Castiel gently turned him down. He fully expected Dean to leave at that point, but to his surprise, the human didnât go anywhere. Heâd simply settled more comfortably onto the barstool beside Castielâs, ordered them each another drink, and started to talk.
About himself. About Castiel. About life, the state of the economy. Everything and nothing.
Dean is charming. Funny. Heâs easier to talk to than any being Castiel has met in decades, and the hours fly by as a result. He only realized that night had tipped over to morning when the lights in the bar came on at three am and they were kicked out.
He escorted Dean back to his motel room, because it was the gentlemanly thing to do. He sat in the bed next to Dean while he slept because... well. Dean was mildly drunk. And heâd asked him to. And how was Castiel to say no?
When he woke up a few hours later, Dean spent quite a while just squinting at Castiel. Thenâ
âYou live around here?â
No. He had been wandering for nearly as long as Dean has been alive.
âYou got anywhere in particular youâre headed?â
When has he ever?
âPassenger seatâs yours, if you want to tag along with me.â
That marked the first time Castiel had ever been invited anywhere.
So, naturally, he agreed.
And thatâs how heâs come to be here. Six months later, and heâs still firmly at Deanâs side. They spend most of their time on the road, but between drives, they do what Dean calls ânormal people thingsâ. They get motel rooms (always with a single bed), spend more time in dive bars, see movies, visit tourist attractions.
Castielâs favorite, though, are the nights when they are too far out from a town to get themselves a proper place to sleep. Because when that happens, the two of them always end up reclining on the hood of Deanâs Impala, leaning back against the windshield and pressed together from shoulder to ankle. Castiel has been around long enough to be able to point out nearly every constellation in the sky. Dean likes to tell stories to go along with each of them. The sound of his voice is Castielâs favorite thing in the world, and no matter how many more centuries he lives, he knows for a fact he will never tire of it.
Castiel didnât mean to find Dean. He certainly didnât mean to fall in love with him.
He does so anyway.

Summary:Â There's a bar hidden between the blurry lines of time and space and perception, and to those in the know, it's called Limbo. It's one of those places... a sliver cut between worlds, where dimensions and realities overlap. Where supernatural beings of all walks of lifeâor, in Castielâs case, deathâcome to let their glamour fade and exist in their skin without prejudice. Whether that skin has horns, or claws, or fangs, in Limbo no one bothers to look twice. He's been here for years, a staple behind the bar, mixing drinks, crafting a steady, even, uneventful life for himself. Everything on a schedule, everything predictable. It's how he keeps himself sane. It's how he keeps others safe. But that was over three weeks ago. Three weeks since everything went to hell and his carefully constructed life fractured down the middle. Three weeks, and now the only constant in his life is the Thirst.

Dark Shadows - Metaphysical Gravity by zoemathemata
Summary: This is a retelling of the gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. Vampire Castiel Collins is awakened from his tomb by down-on-his-luck author Chuck Shurley. With Chuckâs help [and blood] Castiel sets out to make a life for himself in Collinsport, restoring his old home and hopefully being reunited with the reincarnation of his former lover, Dean Winchester.
Comments: 9/10. This is absolutely amazing. Iâve never seen Dark Shadows, and you donât have to have seen it. Cas is a reluctant vampire, and he is awakened by Chuck and wants to reunite with Dean. Dean and Cas has such a tragic past life itâs unbelievable, and their past selves did not get a happy ending. However, their present selves did and itâs all good. The smut is amazing, and the plot is really really interesting. I love how their past life story is slowly revealed through flashbacks and dreams and hints and they all come together.
Dean always made him hungry in more ways he thought were possibleÂ
