(Inspired by this music right here)
The Castle of the Cliff was always alive with Dance and Music at night, welcoming one and all, but dead silent as if death had taken a visit during the day. Their faces were never seen, not during the day, and not during the night.
At day, the face would burn, at night, hidden by a beautiful mask.
Vampires inhabited this Castle, and the Lord was known to throw the best of Parties, wanting exitement in his never-ending life.
One and All were welcomed to the Parties. Humans, Demi-Humans, Beastmen, and all other Races. But none dares step foot into that Castle, for most knew the dangers.
But, once, and only once, years ago, a curious human ventured into said Castle. He was curious as to just how exciting the Parties the Vampires held there were.
When entering, he could feel stared on him. Why wouldn’t they? He was the only human to venture into the Castle in a decade, and he came alone.
The Lord had found him interesting, and offered a Dance. The man had took his hand and they danced the night away to the eerie music.
The man had loved the time he’d spent at the Party, and came back the next night. He did so for many nights to come. He and the Lord danced together at every single one, never joining hands with another.
The two had soon fallen in love with each other, despite never knowing each other’s namer, nor face. They’d always worn a mask. The man, a simple white mask with golden designs covering his eyes and nose. The Lord, a blood red mask with black swirls decorating it and a gorgeous red feather on on the side.
The Lord had whisked the man away to his quaters. They’d spent the rest of the night making love to each other, sleeping through the day.
The Party the next night, the man accompanied the Lord, joining hands once again on the dance floor, listening to the eerie music they both loved as they stared into each other’s eyes through the holes of their masks.
That is a story not many know of, only the people inside of the Castle knows. The people outside have no idea, believing that the man died, like curiousity killed that cat.
A group of humans had all decided to go to the Castle at night and see if the rumors of Vampires holding the best Parties were true.
They all got ready, putting on expensive suits and gowns, masks tied behind their heads, ladies and gentlemen arm in arm as they walked the long way to the castle.
As they walked along the way, they felt many eyes upon them. Mostly on their necks.
As they reached the door, they walked inside. There were guard, but they stopped no one. They could hear the eerie coming all the way from the Ball Room where guests were already dancing.
The group of three men and tow women stood off to the side, listening to the music and watching the people dancing.
As they looked around more and more, a new pair walked hand in hand onto Dance Floor.
The other guests moved aside, as if they would be cursed by standing too close, making a path for the pair, leading to the middle of the room. The pair walked together to the middle, standing in the center of the beautiful floor painting.
As the rest of the guests went back to their places on the dance floor, the Music stopped.
The pair turned to each other, looking deeply into each other’s eyes. They moved to hold each other, ready to dance the nigth away once again. Just as they took the first step, the eerie music begn once again.
All of the guests watched them in silence. The pair danced so beautifully and skillfully together, entrancing the people around them.
That was when one of the humans noticed. One pair of eyes. Emerald green instead of blood red like everyone else.
The woman told her companion, who told their friends who’d joined them.
They all looked close and strained their eyes. Ineed, the person Dancing with the Lord had eyes as Green and Shining as Emeralds. He was human.
One of the humans, a blonde young man, went over to one of the ladies of the Vampire Guests, and asked who the man dancing with the Lord was.
The lady’s fave was covered by a full-face mask and as she answered, her blood red eyes glinted through the eyeholes. She told then young man how the Lord had found the man interesting, and after weeks of dancing together, their faces hidden by masks, and names by silence, they’d joined hands in love.
As the young man walked back to his companions, he relayed the information he’d been told. They were all utterly shocked from what they’d been told.
Never in history had a human and a Vampire been together. It was regarded as taboo amongst humans.
But here they were, a human and a Vampire Lod dancing intimately together, never once looking away from each other’s eyes.
The pair slows down, and once the music ends, the Lord bows down, holding the other’s hand, gently kissing it before the music begins once again, the two holding each other again, planning on dancing the night away.
As the last song of the Night comes to an end, the pair steps away from each other once again before the Lord repeast his former action, gently kissing back back of his partner’s smaller hand.
As the two left the ballroom hand in hand, the rest of the guests dispersed. Some had a room in the Castle while other went on their way home.
The human group also left the Castle after realizing that all they’d been doing was staring at the Lord and his Partner.
When they told the story in the town the next day, some people did not believe them while other were enraged at the Lord’s Human Partner for being together with a Monster like that.
