* His walk to the town did nothing for his foul mood and for a moment he considered setting fire to one of the motels before deciding against it and strolling to the Town Hall. A meeting, one of those quiet affairs held before the public was allowed in the next afternoon so that the councilmen and mayor could work out their bickering out of public eyes. He slipped off his glasses and pocketed them with a smile.
As he left the building half an hour later he had absolutely no doubt they would tell no one what they had seen, what was discussed. The generations old rumor of vampire who had taken 'the old plantation' during the civil war before just up and disappearing after the war, had just walked back into their town and made his intentions very clear to them. It was time for them to stop messing around. While he liked the area and was perfectly fine leaving the humans to their own affairs, he was not above destroying the town. As long as they played nice, so would he, after all, he had been back in the area for some months now without a whisper of trouble save for some poor business with a purposed development deal.
It never took long to convince politicians.
His walk home was far better. Sure, he was now in control of this little town and would have to hold his end of it. Even that little bit did wonders for his mind. When he had returned to the area those few months ago, he had been quite shocked that an entire town had sprung up in what had once been his back yard. The Plantation Manor was still standing (another shock, he would have thought it in ruins more than a century ago) and had served as a sort of rest stop for vampires ever few decades. A Place to hide out for a month or two or recover from hunters on their way through time.
Well, he had things to do. Inform Vadoma of what he had done, check in on Katherine... textualy harass Henry via a spoof card app he had found for his cell phone which masks his caller id and bounces the signal across three different countries before sending the text.
He quite liked this information age.
