Vance Hopper Relationship Hcs

• Vance isn't really big on dating and hook-up culture. Like I said, he tends to keep to himself.

• But when he is a relationship... nothing really changes lol

• He is nicer, but he treats you more like a friend than a partner (in public)

• His love language is physical touch. He'll rest his hands on your shoulder or waist while behind you, If you're shorter than him, he'll put his arm on ur head when standing.

• He likes teasing physical contact, so flicking, pinching, or even sometimes nipping. he thinks it's funny.

• When he's in a relationship he's not a very jealous person. his mindset is "if his partner does something stupid then there's no reason to waste energy trying to salvage the relationship, they just aren't the one".

• He's only been in a handful of relationships, probably 3 so he knows something about what goes down.

• He's not big on communication so trying to understand the problem is all up to behavior and actions.

• Vance doesn't really get jealous but is possessive.

• The hallways buzzed with the usual afterclass chaos. You were standing by your locker, going through your stuff, when you heard an unfamiliar voice. You glanced up to find Eric, some guy from your history class, leaning against the locker next to yours.

• “Hey, we still good for the project later?” he asked, flashing you a smile. “Yeah, totally,” you answered with a smile of your own. You hadn’t really talked to him outside of class, but you didn’t mind. He was easy to talk to, and you quickly fell into a conversation about the assignment.

• You were so absorbed in the conversation that you didn’t notice Vance watching from across the hallway. He’d been in the middle of talking with someone when he caught seen you, laughing lightly at something Eric said. His brow furrowed instantly.

• It wasn’t that he didn’t trust you (he did) but seeing another guy getting so close, talking to you so easily, something just didn’t sit right with him. His hand tightened into a fist as he stared across the hallway.

• He should’ve just walked away, let you have your space. But before he could think any more about it, he was weaving through the crowded hallway, his footsteps quick and determined.

• You hadn’t noticed him approach until it was too late.

• Without a word, Vance reached for you, his hand slipping around your waist. His fingers brushed against your side, and before you could react, he gently but firmly pulled you away from the locker. You didn’t resist. His touch was familiar, and there was something in the way he moved that made it feel… like it was meant to be this way.

• “Vance?” you said, a little surprised as you looked over at his side profile.

• He didn’t respond at first, keeping his hand lightly around your waist as he guided you down the hallway. You could feel his fingers tense slightly, his thumb brushing across your side in a way that felt protective.

• As he pulled you along, you looked over your shoulder, trying to figure out what just happened. Eric had stepped back, looking confused as hell, but you hadn’t even gotten the chance to explain.

• “Vance, what’s going on?” you asked, trying to get him to meet your gaze.

• You stopped walking, standing still in the middle of the hallway, which made him pause too. His grip on your waist loosened just a little, but he didn’t let go completely, unsure of how to explain himself.

• Finally he looked at you, his eyes a little softer than usual, though still holding that same intent. “I don't want you talking to him."

• You blinked. “Eric? He was just talking about the project. You know, the one for history?”

• Vance nodded, his hand still wrapped around your waist. “Yeah, I know. I just didn’t like it.”

• Your brows furrowed. “Didn’t like it? So you just pulled me away?”

• He shifted his weight, looking at the ground for a moment, “I don’t know. I didn’t want to you talking to him. It felt wrong.”

• “Vance,” you started, your voice softer now, less confused. “You don’t own me.”

• “I know,” he muttered quickly, his tone almost apologetic “I just.. 'dont know”

• You stared at him for a moment, taken aback by the softness in his words. Vance wasn’t usually like this—he was blunt, often too blunt for his own good—but now, there was something different about the way he spoke. It was almost... shy?

• “I just,” he continued, running his hand through his curls. “I don’t like.. you know?”. He didn’t know how to say it without sounding "soft," but you knew what he meant.

• You weren’t sure what to say, though, so instead, you just smiled, reaching up to place a hand on his arm.

• “You don’t have to worry about that” you said gently. “You’re the one I’m with.”

• Vance’s gaze flickered to your hand, and then back to your face, the tension in his shoulders easing. A small, smile tugged at his lips. “I know. I just don't like sharing.”

• You laughed softly, the sound of it making him smile more. “Well, you’re not sharing me, Vance,” you said, “I’m not going anywhere.”

• Vance doesn't like you bring at his home, mostly because family issues, but when you do come over it's feels like its just you and him.

• He likes to tone out the outside noise so he has tons of vinyls that he plays when he wants to shut everything out

• When he's in private hes softer than his normal hard demeanor

• He likes knowing that it's just him and you so he's more relaxed when it comes to doing couple stuff in private

• Vance doesn't really give compliments but he likes to stare. Alot.

• You could be on his bed doing homework, sleeping, or ranting about your day and he'll just be staring

• It's not his fault your so gorgeous

• Unfortunately he's has a resting bitch face so many times you mistakes his loving stare with an angry gaze.

Y’all I’m on Tiktok watching The Black Phone stuffs and ?? People are saying that Vance was kept in the basement for 2 years and that he was killed on his birthday ?? But like ?? Where is this information coming from hello ?? Like, Griffin is explicitly stated to have been down there for 2 years but Vance ??

Hell, if anything, I have proof that he was taken for only seven months, probably even less. If you look at Billy’s wiki, it said he died in March or April 1977 and Bruce we know was grabbed in July 1978 died same year. That’s one year and 3 or 4 months at most and later Gwen said Vance was taken last spring (if you think about it the large gap between Billy’s death and Vance’s kidnapping was probably used to prepare the basement and coming up with a plan to Grab him), implying he was taken at the start of just that year and his birthday is in August, so like. Where is the two years coming and the birthday thing coming from ?? The only thing CLOSE to an actual confirmation is that it’s mentioned in his wiki, but even then it’s under the “rumours” aka popular headcanons section so like
