I’m pretty sure everyone knows the rules but 11 new people, always post the rules, 11 new questions and let the people know you tagged them!
I tagged you questions on my blog!:)
1. What is the last book you read?
Um… Marketing Management Strategy by Kotler and Keller? Lame, I know. I have one more week off before school starts, in which I hope to finish Born on a Blue Day, by Daniel Tammet.
2. Which books or stories were part of your childhood?
I was raised on a mixture of Greek myths, fairy tales, and Tales of Wisdom. When I was old enough to read on my own, I gravitated towards Madeline L’Engle and The Chronicles of Narnia :)
3. What is your favourite scent?
def not the stinky Mama Ramen wafting through our house right now… Probably lilacs :)
4. List three places in the world you would like to visit, and why.
Tokyo, Australia, and Spain, because I’ve never been and they sound awesome! And my grandfather is from the south of Spain. Honeymoon will likely be in AUS next summer!
5. List three things you would like to do, and why.
Fully recover from the ED and PTSD (that counts as two), for obvious reasons :( I feel like this is a weird question for a 30 year old… finish my MBA and get married (in reverse order)!
6. Do you believe in extraterrestrial life?
Well, that’s basically been proven, I think. Intelligent extraterrestrial life? Probably, although I don’t think it would be anything like anything we’ve ever imagined…
7. Do you have a favourite quote (or a quote you might identify with), and what is it?
hmmm. A few… ”Ballet is like milk: if it’s even a little bit bad…” - Mikko Nissinen, Artistic Director of Boston Ballet. Also, writing about this one got me into college: “‘This is the hour of lead/ Remembered if outlived/ As freezing persons recollect the snow. First, chill, then, stupor, and then the letting go.’ There is, in the end, the letting go.” - Marya Hornbacher quoting Emily Dickinson.
8. What do you enjoy doing in your downtime?
I just spent the first of my two weeks of my “summer vacation” trying to figure this out. It turns out that the answer is that I still don’t “enjoy” much of anything” and that “downtime” is synonymous with “downturn” for me. I’ll leave it at that.
9. Do you consider yourself a spiritual person?
10. If you could change one thing about this world, what would it be and why?
Rid it of violence. So many tragedies would be prevented.
11. You have recently won 10 million dollars. What do you do with the money?
Omg. Pay off loans… Support important foundations, retire with S, and do charity work in dance administration, trauma survivor support, and global public health for the rest of our lives!
What a lovely note to end on!
