like, men would take us for a walk and they could put us in a securized space where we could buy clothes, makeup or go to the hairdresser.

on the top of the mall there would be a men's lounge with a walkway where men could see us as you do in a zoo. they could throw money at us so we could still go buy things and entertain them.

The word “vapid” is probably one of the strongest definitions I’ve ever disagreed with in my entire life. As it stands, the word “vapid” quite literally means uninteresting, unstimulating, and emotionally worthless.

That just doesn’t sit right with me. Like, using context clues and the word bank in my brain, if someone told me they had a “vapid evening,” I would assume they meant to say they had an enriching, wild, and exhilarating evening. But the word quite literally means the opposite of that, and I hate it.

I feel like the word “vapid” would have so much more potential in modern English if only it meant the opposite of what it meant.
