No no no, forget about the mate bond.

What used to weird me out was Lucien having a magic fucking eye, being compared to a clever FOX, & STILL not being able to figure out his mate was a goddamn Seer. Like dude was blessed with mating, magical AND personality insights. A hat trick. Wtf went wrong that he could not even suspect? Instead, my guy funnily enough settled for implying Elain was mad, just like everyone else.

It used to piss me off why his reaction wasn’t “She went through something traumatic but there’s nothing wrong with her. I can FEEL it. I can SEE it. I can DEDUCE it. And if none of that… then I’ll figure out something else. But call her mad and I’ll RAGE.” That simple act of confidence in one’s partner.

But nope.

Then I realized:

Ahhhh.

Right.

Nature made a mistake.

Elain is not his true love.

Just someone he’s shackled to.

That’s what’s went wrong.

I speak Spanish but I pretty much got the gist of this post quickly. I hear this creator was super into the Gwynriel ship but started backtracking after the CHD interview.
