Hey, so, my older sister is a lesbian and I am pretty sure I am a lesbian too. Is that normal or possible?? I feel like I am faking it just to be like her or something. I can't help but think that other people think it too. What if she thinks that way about me?? I like girls, though! I don't want to be with boys! Is there anyone else with problem? Or a way for me to be more confident in my sexuality? - Vawlt
Hello there !
Long story short : yes, it happens ! And this is a formidable opportunity to create a closer bond with your sister over shared experiences, and might alleviate the pain that comes from lesbophobia. You two will be able to understand each other on a deeper level and be stronger together !
Liking girls, not wanting to be with boys, seems a pretty solid argument in favor of your lesbianism to me ! I know relationship between siblings might be a bit intense from time to time, and there can be this sense of competition, or imitation ; but you seem quite firm in your orientation when you say this. Be confident in your love for other women.
Maybe talking with your big sister about it would help you. As she made her coming-out as a lesbian, she might be able to give you advice based on her experience.
Have the best day, and as always, please come back to us if you need anything !
