This Ratnasambhava Buddha is seated in varada mudra, his left hand is in the mudra of meditation. His legs are folded in dhyana asana and he is seated on a beautiful golden lotus throne. On the top part of the arch you will find a small figure of Amitabha Buddha, the most ancient Buddha among the Dhyani Buddhas. This beautiful work of art embodies the compassionate presence of Ratnasambhava, inspiring devotees to cultivate a spirit of generosity and gratitude in their lives. As practitioners contemplate the radiant form of Ratnasambhava, they are reminded of the inherent richness of the human spirit and the boundless potential for generosity to foster harmony and well-being in the world. This sculpture was hand crafted by the very talented artists of the beautiful Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal!
Thirst for Pleasant Feelings
“…see how much of our lives are dominated by vedanā, feelings, how much they constrict our conduct.
How many times do we turn away from wholesome, noble, beautiful actions simply because we fear the dukkha-vedanā, the unpleasant feelings, that we might have to encounter while performing those actions?
How often do we perform actions which we know in our heart of hearts are going to lead to pain…

La Resilienza si può allenare? Cosa fare quando vogliamo mollare?
When I first started studying the teachings of the Buddha and read this, It didn’t make sense. After all we all have choice, right? I knew that our reactions are based on our experiences but what the Buddha taught goes much deeper than that. It has to do with what is outside our awareness, with how we’ve been conditioned and all the different causes and conditions that came together for that anger to arise. So it’s complex and not something we can understand on a conceptual level and this is why meditation is essential, it shifts us out of concept and into connection with the direct experience of what’s happening as it’s happening. We get to see how anger arises, what it feels like in the body, the breath, the heart and mind, and the best part is that we get to investigate it on the cushion where we can’t harm anyone. It truly is a healing and transformative approach to life. #compassion #understanding #vedana #volition #causesandconditions #intentions #meditation #awakening #wbmindfulness https://www.instagram.com/p/BsRg_YBnIpL/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=xlync47stt6j
