honestly too tired to be coherent about this but i'm still thinking about Argenti and Velite

whether you read them as ship or not, there's something in Argenti being so stubbornly earnest and alive that he somehow inspires someone as cynical and "side character" as Velite to take the risk to quit his IPC job and become a pilot like he wanted. the fact that Velite's dream, supposed to manifest about something he wanted, was him piloting The One and Only to find Argenti. something in Velite just cursing Argenti out for being so stubborn about being willing to die for any noble cause, but willing to go with him because this big, beautiful, suicidal dumbass is the life and beauty he praises so much.

Argenti might be searching for the Beauty, but in the eyes of people like Velite, with his earnestness and drama and the one who finds everything beautiful, why doesn't Argenti understand that he IS the Beauty (the beauty of life)? more than Idrila could ever be at this moment?

Argenti being the beauty of life and inspiring someone like Velite to believe in it again and, hopefully, keep this idiot from sacrificing his beauty far too early.
