Backstory: Turns out underneath that sweater she's decked out in gang tattoos and used to run a gang called the "Jinkies Clinkies" who wore chains that clinked as they walked and used them to beat people up. One night her hideout got burned to the ground while she was out and she lost everyone she knew. She then followed a trail of clues back to the person who lit the fire who turned out to be a property manager trying to collect insurance money. After finding him she wrapped him up in the chains of her comrades and then took him to a lake to be dumped in.

Just before she kicks him in she takes off the mans glasses and dons them.

She says that they help her see who the real monsters are in the world before promptly kicking the old man into the lake to drown.

With her old life now at the bottom of a lake in the middle of nowhere, Velma goes on her quest to find a better life which leads her to mystery inc.

I drew @spaceiplier ‘s version of Sean and ANTI, I LOVE the character design and the story is the BEST!

@spaceiplier I mentioned having drawn some ocs based on your au on the Discord server. I have scanned them and here they are!

Female Velm: Goes by The Lass, and is a somewhat aggressive-protective type of captain. First of the “crew” formed, will fight anyone she feels threatens her crew who she treats like family. Her name is known in a few circles; any who cross her the wrong way speak her name in fear (because they underestimate just how skilled she really is).

Next up is a species I created myself; they don’t have a name yet, but they have a symbiotic relationship with snake-like creatures from their home planet. They are natural climbers and spend most of their lives in the ancient, large trees that dominate their home planet with branches thick enough to walk on. Their language is strictly non-verbal though there are some sounds they can still produce (such as growling/screaming). Rarely would you find one off-planet, but this one has. She is a “protector,” as they are called by their kind, and is shy; or perhaps that’s simply due to her physical inability to learn verbal languages.

The android is friends with the non-verbal one. She is an interpreter of sorts, still learning the language due to the limited resources available to learn. Her employment before joining the crew is unknown, except that she had to work to pay for both of their living conditions, which had been a struggle. This led to her having multiple skills due to her experience in odd jobs.

The next android is named Sarah. He is gentle and intelligent; he has a lot of refined knowledge in technology and science. The Lass built parts of him, as she found him slightly damaged when they first met. He is usually more quiet, but very helpful to others wherever he’s needed.

Igana is a Ninkain. Small and agile, with quick thinking that helps him learn and solve problems easily. Sneaking around or hacking, he’s the go-to for help. He knows some hardware for computers as well.

Some details might change, but overall this is what I have so far! Hope y’all like it <3
