Drew this piece earlier in the year for pride, both queer pride and Caribbean pride. Was thinking about how much I love Caribana outfits and wanted to draw my Tav Veluthe in one. Caribbean elves lets go!

Royal Consort Veluthe, husband of King Grennt and former Captain of the Guard of Culpernathe, a kingdom that rests on the ruins of Norway. Veluthe moved to Karntherin to seek retirement after losing part of his left leg while Culpernathe engaged in a short-lived war with a neighboring kingdom. Veluthe was honored, decorated, and honorably dismissed upon his recovery, and, having no living family, he decided to seek a new life, and he sailed to Karntherin, where his arrival was welcome by the people(he helped serve in the Usurper War and his reputation was widespread). In time, he would meet King Grennt and a then 8 year old Prince Branndt. Grennt would soon realize his affections for the old general, and, despite Veluthe’s objections that he was far too old and broken to be a lover of the king, Grennt dismissed these worries, and four years later they were engaged and wed.

sketches of the Karntherin family for Grennt’s birthday! Grennt’s undergone a change since his preliminary sketches, but everyone was looking so homogeneous, variation was needed, although Veluthe kind of resembles Rinwey now :T Time to keep practicing.
