28: “He’s up again.” & 32: “Babe! We’re out of formula again.” & 48: “Can I hold him?!”

“He’s up again,” you sighed.

You looked to your husband, both of you beginning to laugh.

“I’ll go,” you said, getting out of your ever comfortable bed.

Chenle began to hesitate, but shrugged, snuggling into the duvet as you left to enter your baby boy’s nursery.

“Oh, baby,” you pouted, lifting the 9-month-old out of his crib and into your arms, bouncing him, “god I wish you could talk.”

“Weisheng!” Zihao exclaimed, running into his little brother’s nursery.

“Zihao,” Chenle sighed, getting out of bed and chasing after the three-year-old, “come on, let Mummy deal with Weisheng, he’s fine.”

“I wanna help!” Zihao protested, “can I hold him?!”

You sighed, “Zi, how about me and you go and prepare his formula, hmm? I think he’s hungry.”

Zihao nodded, “okay!”

You smiled apologetically at Chenle, handing him the youngest of your two boys as you took Zihao’s hand, walking down the stairs and into the kitchen.

“It’s alright,” Chenle said, tapping Weisheng’s back as he wondered around the room, “see? Daddy’s here, everything’s okay. Mummy’s getting your food.”

As Weisheng whimpered slightly, Chenle picked his monkey toy, Wonny (named by Zihao), out of his cot. Weisheng laid comfortably in Chenle’s arms, watching the cuddly toy above him intently.

“You’re just like Dad, aren’t you?” Chenle said, thinking out loud, “you’re handsome, you’ve got a big head. You’ve got it all, really.”

“Babe!” you exclaimed from the kitchen, your eyes busy with the cereal you were making for Zihao, “we’re out of formula again!”

“Can’t you just boob?!” Chenle called.

You laughed at his word choice, “if you can come and feed your son some cereal.”

Chenle began walking down the stairs, handing you the baby in his arms.

“What’s the time?” you asked, rubbing your eyes.

Chenle looked at his watch, laughing, “4am.”

“I suppose it’s good morning then,” you said, pointing to the living room where your eldest son was dancing, watching cartoons, “cause he is not going back to bed.”

  Renjun had a love/hate relationship with bringing you around the rest of Dream. On the bright side, you acclimated nicely, your quick wit burying Haechan in the sand before he could roast you. It always impressed Renjun how easily you fit into his life, just like you had always been there. Sometimes, the boys treated you too much like their guy friends, digging into you so much that it became disrespectful. It bothered Renjun, but he never found the right time to tell them off.

“Why do you look so worried?” you asked.

 Renjun shook his head and tried to smile. He was already in a bad mood, and he didn’t want to make it worse by talking about it. He took your hand and held it in his, tracing the top of your hand with his other fingers.

“We should go and eat,” he said. “I’m starving.”

“Why don’t we invite the other boys?” you suggested.

“I don’t think so.”

  Before Renjun could go into why he didn’t want to invite them, they walked in the door. All of them made a beeline for you and Renjun, their playfulness already taking aim at both of you.

“Hello,” you said, waving at Chenle. “How are all of you?”

“Better than you when you decided to date Renjun.” Haechan said. 

“Very funny.” Renjun said, fake laughing.

  The other boys smiled, but no one laughed. Haechan came back with a clever retort that brought a genuine smile to Renjun’s face. He didn’t like singling out any of them as his best friend, but you knew that Renjun’s relationship with Haechan was special. Both boys quipped back and forth, desperate to make the other one angry.

“Okay, boys,” you said. “Enough. We’re going out to eat, do you want to come?”

  When Haechan turned his attention on you, he teased you so much that the whole group broke out into laughter, including Renjun. You loved hearing them laugh, loved being involved in the jokes, even if you were the butt of some of them. You never told Renjun, but Haechan was also becoming special to you.

“Okay, “ you said. “Fine, everyone is invited except for Haechannie.”

  Being excluded was Haechan’s weakness. The next words out of his mouth were a little sour. The low blow he took at you made all of Dream fall silent. You could tell Haechan regretted the words as soon as they left his mouth, but when you looked at Renjun, it was clear that he didn’t care about that regret. He was fuming, his little body looking like it was going to explode.

“Don’t talk to her like that,” Renjun said. “Apologize to her.”

  Haechan’s other weakness was also his pride. He looked at you, his eyes narrowed like it was your fault. You wanted to tell him that you weren’t hurt by what he said, that you understood, but you didn’t love the way he was looking at you. Besides, seeing Renjun stick up for you instead of laughing at you made you feel a lot of love for him. You didn’t want the moment to end.

“Apologize, Haechan.” Renjun said more forcefully.

“Haechan.” Jaemin warned.

Haechan looked at all the boys and hung his head down low, “Fine, I’m sorry.”

   Renjun grabbed your hand and led you away. When you were out of earshot, Renjun kissed your cheek. You saw the same regret that was on Haechan’s face on Renjun’s, but his expression was full of anguish.

“I’m sorry for laughing at you, too.” he told her. “I never want you to feel unsafe with me. You’re important to me.”

“Renjun, it’s okay,” you said. “I know you never meant anything by it. Let’s forget about it and get something to eat.”

A Hendery one with his first child and the phrases 12+9 but like y/n discovered she was pregnant while he was on tour so she kept it as a surprise and then when hendery got home he saw her with the belly?? Sorry if that doesnt make sense english is not ny first language❤️❤️

“Hendery!” you gasped, hearing the front door open.

“My love!” he cheered, taking off his shoes and shutting the door behind him before running into the living room, “or should I say my loves?”

You laughed, “Kunhang, so... I have some news.”

“What?” he asked, face full of concern, “are you alright?”

“Yeah, I knew that,” Kunhang shrugged.

You rolled your eyes, taking off the blanket that covered your torso and lifting up your oversized sweetshirt. Underneath, your 6-month baby bump poked out further than you’d ever seen at 6 months.

Kunhang’s eyes widened as he dropped to his knees, his hands fitting on the sides of your belly.

“My baby,” he smiled, “our baby. They’re in there!”

“They really are,” you laughed, nodding.

He stood back up as you struggled to your feet as well, pulling your husband into a hug.

“You’re so big. It can’t be easy,” he sighed, “but I’m home now, I promise.”

You chuckled, “it’s okay, baby, I love my little lump.”

“You can’t call our baby ‘little lump!’,” he protested.

You shrugged, “already nicknamed.”

Kunhang rolled his eyes as you began to walk (waddle) away.

“Where are you going?” he laughed.

“Snacks!” you called, “you’re gonna tell me everything, but first I need snacks.”

Nct dream reaction to leaving their child for the first time? Like going on tour, or on a date with their wife

i decided to do it like first time they leave for a prolonged period of time,, nights as well so thats why some of them are quite old lol

apart from chenle cause i ran out of ideas

tbh i think renjun might get a little teary??? but only a tiny bit when he’s saying goodbye cause even though he was physically prepared for this tour? he was not mentally or emotionally prepared AT ALL

like changming was 8-9 months old and that’s when babies start to develop seperation anxiety so as soon as renjun wished him a goodbye and began to leave, changming cried onto your shoulder like screaming crying and renjun just sighed as tears filled his eyes cause Shit he just felt so bad

in the end i think you’d have to walk him to the door and convince him to leave, while also bribing changming into not crying. (renjun left and changming got chocolate)

jeno -

i think jeno would be the most un-affected by it?? not that he doesnt care for the baby lol but as he went out for a couple days to film a reality show, he knew that you and hyunnie (ur dog) would take care of hoon so he had nothing to worry about

hoon was like 5 months old at this point so he’d kinda developed into this small little human with reactions to things so jeno trusted that he’d be fine!!

his heart still sank when he realised he didn’t have nightly cuddles though :(

so moonsun was just over a year old and miyeon was only 9-10 months old but you were currently 6 months pregnant and regarding the pregnany, the doctor’s had said it didn’t look good :/ so you and donghyuck packed your bags and went for an overnight stay at the hospital so they could check you 24/7 until it was deemed safe for you and the baby :D

but!! you have two babies at home :( and they’re at the age of seperation anxiety so!! donghyuck’s mum and sister stayed at home with them but donghyuck was so sad to be leaving his babies :( and you were like ‘you know you dont have to come’ but to him, his unborn daughter probably needed him the most so he teased the crying girls wishing them a funny goodbye

but the whole time he was like ‘i wonder how moonsun and miyeon are’ and he was so worried :(

so areum was 10 months old and you went into labour with your baby, haneul!!! you and jaemin had already decided to go and have a hospital birth so y’all packed your bag and at the first sign of labour, you called jeno round to stay with areum while you left

jaemin was cuddling areum lots and lots and reasurring her that she’d be alright with jeno and trying to excite her about the thought of having a sibling when the two of you come back!!

luckily areum loves jeno so she was actually fine with everything lol and jaemin was highkey hurt because of how chill she was while jeno was like ‘just go bro’

chenle -

so the month after zihao was born y’all kinda realised that you hadn’t left the house in SEVERAL weeks so jisung was like ‘i’ll come and babysit!! go!! have fun!!’ so you and chenle planned a lil date🥰

but !! it came to the night and jisung came round and suddenly you and chenle were like ‘wait no i dont wanna’ like zihao had just gone down to sleep and what was gonna happen when he woke up and realised you werent there????? jisung was sighing like ‘just go y’all i know how to take care of a baby’ but chenle’s so conflicted

in the end you say goodbye but you and chenle are kinda pouty and end up coming back after like an hour and a half because y’all were like ‘i want to see my bABY’ and yeah chenle does not like to be seperated from his baby, that’s the lesson here

jisung -

so when sunmi was born it was obviously in the middle of their last concert in seoul, but they were due to be going on an american tour like only four months later and all the boys were like ‘you dont have to if you dont want??’ but you were like ‘you have to!!!!!!!’

so jisung (reluctantly) went on this tour :((( and the day came he just had this suitcase and was hugging you so tightly and then when you gave him sunmi to sat goodbye to he just burst into tears😭😭

you were like ‘no!! this will be good!!’ and jisung was like ‘but my baby’ but all the members had babies to say goodbye to!!!! so they all related a LOT and all encouraged jisung when he was sad because he was Big Sad

so basically changming was about four months old and you were in the kitchen, making renjun’s lunch for the day while changming was in this baby carrier thing thats attatched to your front

and renjun had just been having a shower but came down to say good morning (you were still asleep when he went into the bathroom) and he just say you dancing round the kitchen with his son giggling at you while you made his lunch and omg🥺🥺 renjun’s heart bURST he could not have been more in love

and just in his head, all he could think was ‘this is the woman i’m going to marry’

so jeno was in the gym lifting some weights and he lifted some kinda weird and something in back was in AGONY like he had to leave cause he was like sHIT i am in AGONY and he arrived home to you and was like ‘hello!!’

and you were like ‘my love !! welcome home !! ur early!!!’

but jeno was kinda limping and you were like ‘nOOO whAT HAPPENED’

and immediately helped him up to your bedroom and laid him down on his front and called the doctor and the doctor was like ‘probably just rest for a while’ and so you laid in bed next to him and just chatted for a while and you massaged it a bit when he needed it and brought him whatever he wanted and he just had this sudden realisation of

‘no one is every gonna love me this much’ ‘,, apart from my mum’

and he went to buy a ring with jaemin the next day :)

so you were pregnant with donghyuck’s baby

and at this point you were like,, pretty pregnant,, like 8-9 months about 34 weeks ?? like baby was ready to come out and you weren’t about to do much moving

and the two of you were staying at donghyuck’s mum’s house so she could be there whatever happened bc like,, she’s done this before,, she knows wtf is going on

so you’ve just woken up and you reach over to get your phone (with difficulty cause like... 9 months pregnant) and when you turn back over you see donghyuck still asleep !!

and you kinda smile because omg he’s so pretty :( you love him :(( and you started softly combing his hair and he’s like kinda awake but he 100% doesnt want to tell you

“thank you, duckie,” you whispered, “you’ve given me lots in life and i know you’re gonna be the best dad ever :((“

and donghyuck’s almost crying but he isnt about to break this act

“i’ve never told you but every time you speak she kicks so much ,, our little princess really loves you.”

and then donghyuck opens his eyes and you’re like oOOPS but he’s literally crying and he just puts his hand on your waist and kisses you and is like “i love you sm baby :(((“ and it’s just a love fest and donghyuck is more certain than anything ever before that he is going to marry you

so it was the day after you had given birth to uju and you were still in the hospital

and the nurses had just taken uju off for a bath because they adored uju and jaemin’s mum was taking care of areum and hanuel so it was the first time in a WHILE that you and jaemin had time alone together

and you just looked at jaemin and started giggling and he was like ‘:D what’

and you had uncontrollable giggles but managed to spit out ‘we have three kids’

and jaemin smiled bc,, ur right it’s a bit fucking wild

and your laughter finally calmed down and you smiled and just said ‘and i couldnt ask for a better person to be my children’s dad’

and jaemin almost cried bc did you not know how much you and your kids meant to him anyway?? and he just grabbed your hand and was so stunned at himself by the lack of ring that he swore to himself he was gonna get himself in gear and just fucking marry you

so all the chinese members of nct were hanging out and along comes kun with his wife and tiny little baby xiaolian (she’s actually like 11 months) and immediately you and chenle are oBSESSED

after a while when xiaolian gets used to her settings,, kun lets her sit on your lap while you and chenle entertain her and lets just say she LOVES you

and at one point, she starts to cry but she also is very happy in your arms?? so kun’s wife is like ‘do you mind feeding her? i think thats what she wants’

and you’re like ‘no problem!!’ bc ?? it’s xiaolian? she’s adorable?

and so you kind of have her on your lap but so she’s facing you, her back resting on the table and you spoon mashed up banana and biscuits into her mouth in the most entertaining way possible

and she’s giggling and eating happily and even kun and his wife are like ‘damn she’s good with kids’ but chenle isn’t even listening bc omg he’s so in love with you??

and this whole time he just cant stop picturing your future together !! :(( he loves you!! and he tells you lots once you’ve handed xiaolian back to her parents

so you and jisung had just been to mark’s wedding and it was so emotional !!! it was so cute !!!

and the whole time mark’s wife was staring at mark with so much love in her eyes and mark was doing the same,, and you were sat across from jisung at the dinner table so it just ended up that as you watched everyone’s speeches, he couldn’t take his eyes off you

and you were laughing at johnny’s speech and wiping tears away when mark was speaking and there was just a twinkle in your eyes that almost made jisung cry

and when he and chenle went up to the drinks table today, standing there for a moment and watching their girlfriends dance with each other and jisung’s like ‘i’m gonna ask her to marry me’ and chenle’s smiling cause he’s thinking exactly the same thing about his girlfriend !!! bffs amirite

renjun was lowkey getting annoyed cause you were so stubborn about not going to the hospital and he was just like ‘for fuCKS SAKE DO YOU WANT TO GIVE BIRTH IN OUR LIVING ROOM??!!???’ and you just burst into tears and renjun was like ‘oh shit,, no thats not—‘ but then you were like ‘renjun i’m just so fucking scared,, it hurts so badly’ and renjun’s heart broke but he gave you calm words and held your hand the ENTIRE TIME

jeno knew you weren’t yourself ever since you went into labour with hani,, i mean duh,, but like, more unusual so just as the nurse left the room to get the midwife he pulled you into a hug and was like ‘it’ll be alright you know, you’ve done this before so you can do it again’ and you were in a bit of a daze tbh,, but you kinda started crying at jeno’s words but that didn’t faze him he just held your hand and kissed you several times and cheered you on!!

donghyuck was kinda like renjun pt.2 bc he was getting very annoyed that he and you had calmly taken moonsun off to mark’s house and you two were driving to the hospital and you just kept making him stop??? despite the fact you were in pain??? and then when you finally got the the hospital you just didn’t get out the car and at this point the baby was practically coming out but donghyuck just had to be like ‘baby. princess. my love. let’s go’ but you just told him how scared you were and he gave you this little motivational speech bc ur the strongest woman he knows !!!! and you’re carrying his child!!!!

jaemin:

jaemin was so excited ngl he was ready to meet his little boy but you were so reluctant and he was like ‘?? come on,, he’s literally comin rn???’ and you just grabbed onto jaemin’s arm and just burst into tears and once again his heart just broke and he pulled you into a tight hug and rocked you side to side and was just like ‘baby, idk what you’re going through but know that you can do this!! and in the end,, we’ll have our baby, our little boy!! and we get to meet him!!!’

chenle:

chenle was also like jaemin like he was just so pumped he was like ‘we get another son!!! we get to do it again!!!’ and you just started crying and you were like ‘i dont want to do this again’ and chenle was like ‘huh???? what????’ and when you explained how scared you were,, chenle almost started crying as well but he didn’t !! you two stood in the hospital room though, slow dancing for a while so he could calm you down (it worked)

jisung was already crying tbh,, you went into active labour while you were hanging out with the boys so they all had to jump into action while jisung just stood and cried and then when you started crying about how scared you were, chenle just had to give jisung a slap round the head and jisung was like ‘i— i wasn’t there last time!!!! but i’m here now!!! it’ll be alright,, everything will be okay!!’

How did Johnny and nct react to Elijah being deaf?

johnny was quite calm about it bc he knew elijah wasn’t fully deaf and ofc would be able to hear his voice, his mum’s voice and music and also bc his wife lowkey freaked out so he knew he had to be calm

for the boys, there was just this kind of weird atmosphere from johnny after elijah was born and he came back to work so mark was all like “dude, you okay” and so johnny sat down and was like “truthfully, eli can’t hear very well, he’s partially deaf” and all the boys were like “oh shit johnny i’m so sorry” but johnny was lowkey fine he was just sad bc he had to leave you and eli by yourself

as eli got older though, his being partially deaf stunted the amount of time it took for his words and speaking habits to develop so you all took teaching eli how to talk very seriously and eli’s hearing doctor gave you these little flash cards to help him and ALL the boys LOVED doing it, even ava and jasper tried to help
