Daddy-Daughter Day | LJN ~ Hani
phrase(s): 50: “daddy’s little girl!”
age: Hani = 12 / Hoon = 13 / Haon = 10
“Okay, I’m going!” you announced, “Haon, come on.”
“Coming!” Haon called, running to where you were at the door and quickly pulling his shoes on.
“Jeno? Hoon’s at his friend’s house, Haon’s coming with me today, so you and Hani have the day to yourselves.”
“Okay,” Jeno smiled, coming to the door and kissing your cheek, “have fun you two.”
“Bye Dad!” Haon waved, taking your hand and walking our the door with you.
“Yeah?” he responded, as he was walking back to the sofa.
“Can we go shopping today? I really need some new shorts for the summer,” Hani said, arriving at the bottom of the stairs.
Jeno shrugged, “okay! I’m not doing anything else today. Where do you want to go? Anywhere specific?”
Hani shook her head, “maybe we should go to the shopping centre so I can just have a look around. Ooh! And then we could go out for lunch!”
“Shall we?” Jeno asked, slightly surprised, as at 12-year-old, he was half expecting his daughter to want to be dropped off, not have a day with her dad, “come on then, are you ready?”
Hani nodded, pulling on her shoes at the door as Jeno grabbed his keys, “let’s go to the Lotte World Mall first, we can always go somewhere else if you don’t find anything.”
Hani smiled, jumping in the passenger seat of the car as Jeno began to drive off, “okay!”
“And what do you want for lunch?”
Hani thought for a moment, “I don’t know! Let’s just go and see what they have there.”
“Okay,” Jeno chuckled, “we can go to Starbucks when we arrive if you want.”
Hani squealed, there’s nothing pre-teens love more than a non-caffeinated Starbucks drink, “thank you!”
“Thank you, Dad,” Hani said, as they sat down in the restaurant, bags and bags of shopping at their feet.
Jeno tutted, “for what? You’re my only daughter, of course I’m going to spoil you.”
Hani giggled, “I really need to do my homework when I get home though.”
“Don’t think about that now,” Jeno laughed, “I mean - think about it at some point but right now look at what you’re gonna eat.”
He tapped the menu and Hani laughed, opening it instead of worrying about the future.
“How old were you when you became a trainee, dad?” Hani asked, still scanning the menu.
“13,” he answered casually.
“Wow. That’s only one year older than me,” Hani said.
“Well I debuted when I was 16,” Jeno said, “why?”
Hani shrugged, “I was just wondering.”
“I was kind of surprised you wanted to come together, by the way,” Jeno said, taking a sip of his drink, “are you sure you didn’t just invite me for my card?”
Hani laughed, “no! I promise!”
Jeno smiled, “of course not. You’re always a daddy’s little girl kind of daughter, aren’t you?”
Hani blushed, “Dad, stop it!”
“That’s more like it,” Jeno laughed.
“Dad,” Hani started, after the waiter had come and got their orders.
“What do you think about me becoming a dancer?”
“A dancer?” Jeno repeated.
Hani nodded, “not an idol. I can’t really sing or rap, but I love to dance. My teacher said I was really good.”
“Well I know you’re really good, I’ve been to your shows!” Jeno exclaimed, “I’ve got to be honest, I’m glad you haven’t said idol, but even being a dancer is hard, baby.”
“One injury and your career can be over,” Jeno added, to which Hani nodded again, “look, as long as you continue your studies and make sure you’re qualified to do something else if dancing doesn’t work out, then I’ll support you whatever you do.”
“You’ll have to talk to mum, also. But I’d love it if you were a dancer, Hani-ya. Just like me.”
Hani smiled, nodding, “just like you.”
“We can go to a shop after lunch and get you some new dancing outfits, then. Do you want to get more lessons?”
Hani nodded, but bit her lip, “I’d quite like to attend SOPA, actually.”
“SOPA? My old school?” Jeno asked, Hani nodding, “well, I suppose we can go and have a look around. We really need to talk to your mum though.”
Hani smiled, “you’re the best, dad!”
Jeno smiled, pinching her cheek, “just work hard, okay? So where do you want to go after lunch?”
