The (Never Again) Proposal
(For context, I headcanon that Venetia and Lanessa's last names is Hudson)
There once was a time, a day where everyone involed internally swore to never bring up again in the years to come, nor for the historians to tell.
The Father of the Hudson sister thought it would've been a wonderful idea to arrange a wedding between either sisters to become Lord Percy Cunningham's Lady.
As expected, both sisters refused. Desperate pleas and complaints to not go through with such idea. But their Father brushed it off.
However, no one could match nor defeath the absolute wrath of Lord Percy Cunningham himself.
Father Hudson's excuses were squashed under Percy's mere glare. Because even if his live recital had somehow healed Venetia's arm, even if he recommended and paid for Lanessa's tailoring materials for her corsets and Venetia's violin lessons-- He will NOT marry such lovely platonic friends of his! They were practically his sisters after all.
But of course, that was only one of the reasons why he was furious over such a proposal.
Because most importantly: He was a taken man.
He was finally with his butler. A lover.
But unfortunately... They were forbidden.
So he shouted, arms in the air and his foot plastered firmly onto the ground as Father Hudson became a dummy for his anger, his jealousy, his despair.
Because it would've been so easy to prepare a ceremony between a man and a woman with a single order.
But for him and Franklin?
They would've been exacuted in seconds.
Father Hudson was banned from the Cunningham's residence for the rest of the week.
The Hudson sisters profusely snd repeatedly apologized for their Father's behavior.
But Percy could only give them a weak embrace before calling the maids to escort them out of the manor for the night.
Then, the night fell silent.
Percy retreated back to his chambers. Every servant in the manor didnt dare to interrupt.
