Today’s thought of the day: lances family (canonically) takes in strays all the time. Keith is literally the definition of a stray as a person (orphan, people constantly leaving him, overall attitude, etc.) and so ofc it’s only in lances nature to take him in and love him. Lances family loves Keith like a son(in law), just like every cat, dog, or lizard the McClain kids would bring in as kids.

Also the same could be said about veracxa I think

Strays might take more time to get comfortable, and they might be harder to love, but at their core they’re just innocent animals that have learned to fear others because of what they’ve gone through. They deserve love.

the grudge

for me, upside was basically veraxca+jeith w a lil extra stuff happening.

Veraxca: Veronica spends most of the day with Axca, trying to get to know her, introducing her to her team (whom she considers an extension of her family), and being one of the first people to really show Axca kindness.

Jeith: James came flying in pissed off and ready to kill anyone threatening Keith. He immediately lines up, ready to fire, but can't get a clear shot, not without risking hitting Keith. The MFEs have larger missiles, meant for taking down ships and other larger vehicles, not close range combat. He could shoot but he'd burn Keith in the process. So all he can do is wait.

Overall: Veronica is aware of jeith's past, and knows how important Keith is to James. She can also see the second Zethrid decides not only is she going to die, she's going to take Keith and Axca with her. So she fires, saving both of them.

Am I the only one who hates the idea of Keith and Acxa being together? Not because I’m a Klance and Veraxca shipper but they have no romantic chemistry. All of their “romantic” scenes together look and feel more platonic than anything else. Plus, Axca is a lesbian and Keith is gay and had better chemistry and more interesting dynamics with characters like Lance, Hunk, and Veronica.

veronica and axca waking up before the rest of the mcclains and heading down into the kitchen, enjoying their time by themselves just chatting and laughing over small things. then they bring things up a bit and share a sweet kiss, just a simple way to say without words how much they love and care about each other.

unfortunately, during that moment, lance comes up in the entrance of the kitchen, hair a mess, his pajamas all wrinkled and his obnoxious ass just goes "oH, i'm sorry, was i interrupting something?" veronica gives him a "i'm going to kill you," look and snaps something at him in spanish while lance says a sassy comeback, the two going back and forth.

axca is just standing there awkwardly, trying to get veronica to shut up so they can go somewhere private to continue but she's too busy arguing with her annoying younger brother. and keith, who's only half awake and clinging to lance from behind, mumbles "babe, can we go back to bed?" scaring the shit out of veronica and axca cause they didn't even notice he was there.
