For all my works and series, I typically write smut scenes/fics in a way that they can be skipped over without losing too much context from the larger narrative of the fic/series. All smut, common triggers, and graphic violence are clearly marked as such.
I ask that minors do NOT engage with any of my 18+ content, particularly my E rated fics. Any content I feel is raunchy will be tagged as “#for the adults” for the sake of filtering convenience. Anything I’d consider strictly 18+ will be marked mature and thus should not appear to minors and be censored for adults. I do not and will not censor sex ed or otherwise educational posts about sex and sexuality. Additionally, do not DM me if you are a minor or ageless blog.

i do think theres something sad about how largely only the literature that's considered especially good or important is intentionally preserved. i want to read stuff that ancient people thought sucked enormous balls
I often wonder if this is why you so commonly see the sentiment that we are in an era of uniquely bad literature, or at least that the fact that most books don't have artistic aspirations and are not aiming to be anything other than mindless entertainment is new. In fact what's new is the idea that everything is worth preserving (and also the internet making it easier to preserve it). The dumb artistically unambitious trash books of the past have survived only sporadically, because people thought of them as literally disposable.
When I was in college I had a professor who was an expert on detective fiction. He had a longstanding beef with the idea that "Murders in the Rue Morgue" was the first detective story. He thought that it seemed way too polished to be inventing a new genre, and also that the whole orangutan business had the vibe of someone subverting preexisting audience expectations and maybe engaging in a bit of stealth parody. With the help of some student volunteers, he went trawling through old magazines and newspapers and found hundreds of detective stories from the early 1800s that just hadn't garnered enough individual attention to be remembered. This was because most of them sucked balls. He created an online archive of them, so you too can read these mostly terrible stories.
i love when the voltron writers integrated the fact that allura can shape-shift and mimic the way galra soldiers look only to only use it in one episode and never bring it up again. allura couldve been such a cool undercover spy for them????
She does say that ability is meant to be a tool of diplomacy and peace. Considering we only ever see other other Alteans use it to do that or go into hiding after Zarkon’s genocide, it’s likely using it as a weapon of war is considered immoral or duplicitous. Interestingly enough, we do see her using her abilities to camouflage into the trees during the s8 episode where Zethrid is hunting the paladins.
i hate how much people care about their ships being "canon" now. spirk fans didn't publish zines full of fanfics in the 70s only for modern fandom to grovel at the knees of corporations and beg for things to be canon. use your imaginations, don't allow billionaires to think for you.
Been thinking a lot about the intimacy of Shepard helping Kaidan switch out a biotic amp recently. Pushing aside the curls at the base of his skull, a tentative thumb brushing over old scars, warm hands on an aching head. It's mundane, routine, wholly insignificant to Kaidan, but with Shepard doing it? It's... new again, vulnerable. Cautious. Loving. Something that represents the never-ending pain he's subjected to being draped in care and romance that makes him want to linger here, just for a moment or two.
some moral ocd haver with 4 followers: hmmm.... i dont know... saying puppies dont deserved to be kicked seems kind of risky. what if im not as well-spoken as i think and people misunderstand me and think im actually pro puppies getting kicked? maybe this can just stay in the drafts. i dont want to come off as an deplorable force of evil
