I don’t know why but discovering that Verteron and Elnen no longer exist in Aion make me extremely sad. I used to love those places and spend time with friends who aren’t here anymore, it was the first time I was really implied in a MMORPG ( I played Guild Wars with my roommate mostly as a support, following directions only , while in Aion I started solo, I was a sorcerer and when I convinced RP friends to come and play, I was quite happy to have people who don’t only see me as a living swiss army knife.)
Elnen wasn’t so much for me, but Verteron was certainly the place where I appreciated the most to come back and enjoy the landscape. It was like coming back home. I should have known that things like that will happen when they started to change the start of the game to make it more simple but I didn’t imagined that they’ll delete a whole low level region with so much quests and stories.
