John 4:26

And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. (Isaiah 58:11 KJV) Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is leading us along the high road, but there are heights as well as descents. In the distance we see snow-covered peaks glistening in the brilliant sunlight. Our longing to reach these peaks is good, for we know beyond them awaits our heavenly home, but we must not take shortcuts. Our part is to follow Jesus, allowing Him to direct our path. We need to let the heights beckon us onward, but we must stay close to Him. We need to learn to trust Him when things go awry. Disruptions to our routine highlight our dependence on Him. Trusting acceptance of trials bring blessings that outweigh them all. We need to walk hand in hand with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ throughout this day. He has lovingly planned every inch of the way. Trust does not falter when the path becomes rocky and steep. We can take deep breaths of His Presence and hold tightly to His hand. With Jesus we can make it!!
