and because you brought up casting, they fucked up every single one of those girls! the oldest daughter is played by a white chinese woman, lara jean is played by a vietnamese woman, and kitty is also white chinese. in the summer i turned pretty, the mc is supposed to be white and korean as well, but she's played by a white chinese woman. is jenny han okay?
I had no idea that all these works were directed(?) by the same person, as I had only seen the first few episodes of XO Kitty before dropping it. That being said, this is a crazy pattern to repeat in your writing on THREE separate occasions.
Having a disdain for your own community like that is so irresponsible as a figurehead, especially when she should be knowing good and damn well that most people aren't going to recognize this as a problem when it comes to casting.

I wish Custard had more of a reaction to Pure Vanilla giving up the throne and abolishing the monarchy in the Vanilla Kingdom. It's so sad because Custard was so proud and excited to be his heir. He was next in line (or at least he claims so.) If PV really needed to abdicate they could've at least had this be an eye opening moment for Custard or something. Like maybe he sees this and thinks "Damn, maybe monarchy isn't actually all its cracked up to be if even my role model abolished it", or maybe even "I should just become king my own way without needing a role model at all." Or maybe he could be pissed or disappointed, and it could be a source of conflict between Pure Vanilla and Custard. But no. Apparently Devsis expects me to think that Custard just wouldn't gaf if his role model gave up the very thing he admired about him and Custard’s own right to the throne he was (allegedly) heir to was taken from him
