I'm watching a Overly Sarcastic Productions video about secret identities and one part that caught my interest was the relation to secret identities and superheroes in a time before technology, (zorro for example) where all the over power would need to do is burn their house down to stop them if they knew who they were (indirect quote from the video)

That being said

Anti hero/secret identity merlin au.

From the beginning he wears a mask and dark clothing so no one can tie back his crimes to the princes manservant. He doesn't go by Emrys or any name, which infuriates Uther and intrigues Arthur. Id say even uses his ability to shape shift to thwart the knights and go in as a spy either in camelot or other scenarios. Arthur has met merlin multiple times doing this, once as a noblewoman at a masquerade ball wearing a black lace fabric that covered only their eyes. It didn't register until later for him who that might have been the poor idiot

Arthur certainly knows (and alot at that) about the "folk hero" going about his lands, hatefully from his father thats for sure. (Arthur doesn't know he's met the "hero" many times, every morning. Some days he makes it hard for said hero not to turn beat red from how much he laments about him throughout the day to the man himself, flattering as it is)

Scenario where uther has sent arthur to track the man down after he's been sighted, and once meeting for the "first time", they connect immediately in such a way that it gives arthur whiplash and makes him think of anther encounter where it felt as is he had already known the person

Just - merlin who is a magic vigilante who hides his identity and swoons the prince? Fuck yes

What if Hammerlocke Castle itself is alive and speaking to Raihan, because it chose him? Imagine the stories it could tell him.

That would be cool. Maybe the "spirit" or whatever it is, is some sort of creature or pokemon that resides in the castle and speaks only to the guardian. Because we dont know anything about this thing:

No pokemon, legendary or otherwise, springs to mind. Maybe while Zacian and Zamazenta were the original "kings" of Galar, whatever this is might have been the third legendary and founded Hammerlocke and acts as a guardian of sorts, and Raihan and his predecessors pick up where this pokemon left off and can speak to him.

Or maybe that's what Raihan is really guarding, not just the vault. Dun dun duuuunn!

Wasn't motivated to draw more pages today, so I just drew a sketch dump of SK and Simirror. Shadow Kirby likes to steal his hat a lot and Simirror always wonders where it is. When Simon uses all of his magic energy, his body disappears and he goes into a sleep state to regain that energy back. Shadow Kirby doesn't why it happens. When using Reflect Guard, he covers himself with his hat first then he uses defense magic. A lot of people tend to ask if he has a mouth, he does but he's shy about it.

Simirror takes his PBS job VERY seriously and yes, those are strawberry cheesecake blankets.
