Final thought before bed, it's not very well thought out but meh.
Consider:
Coupe and Robert kind of skipped childhood, one was training to be an assassin and the other a hero.
Someone mentions doing things to heal your inner child and they really lock in on it.
They could ask the others to join but they don't want pity or to hear someone else who was able to do the thing talk about how much they loved it.
They want to do dumb childish things without questions or judgement so they do them together. Sometimes it's a one time thing, like they did it was fun and healed a small part of them but they don't want to do it again. Other times they like it and keep doing it as a hobby.
Like coloring, Coupe never got to color so her and Robert spend the day coloring. One likes it and continues, the other, not so much.
Robert saw a commercial for zoo pal plates as a kid, so they buy some. Healed a small part but when they ran out they never bought them again.
Neither of them were allowed a stuffed animal, both go to build a bear and deck out their animal. Coupe starts collecting small stuffed animals and has a neat shelf for them, smiles when she see's them. Robert, who I imagine is touch starved, starts buying big ones and falls asleep in his pile like a mole rat.
Anyway, that's the end of my thought.
