re: that Randall post so it doesn’t become a mile long: I still feel like reversing the muscle augmentations would be almost impossible without severely crippling poor Randall. Biopsies, forced, permanent, full-body muscle atrophy (how would this even work? hormone replacement?), and total bone replacement. Obviously they did it, the canon-side of it just seems fucky to me without having Randall become a puddle of extra skin and scar tissue

Well, maybe you’re not far off? The reversal/suppression procedure is described as “excruciating” by the wiki, and Cassandra-075′s Letter to the Master Chief in Halo 2′s Conversations from the Universe booklet indicates that part of the treatment for her severe augmentation-caused crippling involved the complete removal of her skin for a significant period of time.

Maybe they did take him apart like fuckin lego then patch him back together again.

y’know tonight’s really made me think about how naturally John interacts with non-Spartans? like yeah he’s way quieter than Fred but lacks the constant undercurrent of anxiety, and while Kelly’s more outgoing she’s also more guarded. She wouldn’t give Johnson the time of day if she met him, especially if he was already palling it up with Chiefo. whereas John’s a pretty good judge of character and once he’s had one (1) friendly interaction he’s basically your bro. Lasky for example; John’s the only one who kept his helmet on, wouldn’t even look at Tom in that scene, but after 30 years of no contact he’s being subtly jokey with his superior officer ‘cause hey we killed a hunter together one time.

Herbal Tea : You’re at a candle shop, what scented candle do you buy?

… Good question. I don’t think I’ve ever bought a scented candle, hell the last time I was in a shop with one I’m pretty sure I was a child. But scent is a weird thing, especially when something has been purposely scented because it’s always slightly different depending on what the object is and who made it, and with my sensory processing I’d be there forever lmao. Though going by my preferences regarding like bathroom products and stuff… probably something strawberry-scented.
