69. Do you have projects you've had to abandon? Why? Would you like to take them up again?

I've abandoned Peter Parker's Home for the Wayward Villain, I had been doing it with sfx and kind of burned out on it? I had also actually finished recording, but right after I switched to click editing and editing it was painful. I don't think I'll pick it up again? I feel like I'd have to start from 0 for consistency, and I have not felt up for that

Will the fics need to focus on both Clint and Bucky, or would it be okay for the fic to predominantly be about one of them, but result in eventual winterhawk?

There’s not a way to really judge how much of a ship is in a fic, but because this Bang is focused on a pairing (Clint and Bucky), the ship needs to be the main pairing and should also feel like a major part of the plot.  

Eventual get-together would qualify as a Winterhawk fic for the purposes of a Bang, but the pairing shouldn’t be an afterthought to an [other plot point]-centric fic. 

For example - 30,000 words of Clint pining after Bucky until they finally kiss in the final scene of the fic would qualify.  A fic that is focused on Bucky’s recovery from Hydra for 30,000 words, where Clint does not even appear until the final chapter and they hesitantly agree to go for a coffee would not.

Will the total word count be for one work, or could it span an entire series? (provided that everything is written and posted within the Bang deadlines)

Hi! Thank you for asking!

Due to the collaborative nature of a Big Bang, anything submitted for Claims must be a single work. Authors will only be able to submit one fic for claims, so you wouldn’t be able to submit a series. If you’d like to do your fic as a series of vignettes in individual chapters, you may certainly do that or organise your fic in any other way that makes sense for the story you’re trying to tell, but it must be one complete work for Claims and Posting.  Artists will receive the fic summaries anonymously to help them decide what they’d like to Claim, so we cannot put up a multi-part series as a work for claiming.

Could you maybe write a no powers au where Bucky is teaching Clint to play guitar? And maybe Clint gets distracted by the hair escaping Bucky's bun and the cute concentrating face and also just *Bucky is too hot aaa*

“No, put your fingers like this,” Bucky says, adjusting the position of Clint’s fingers on the frets. 

“I don’t bend that way,” Clint whines. 

“I’ve seen you bend in ways that are harder than this,” Bucky says, unimpressed. “Try again.”

“This is hard,” Clint says, pouting. When Bucky offered to teach him how to play guitar, Clint only said yes because Bucky looked stupid hot when he was concentrating, and Clint’s a sucker for competent attractive people, of which Bucky is both.

“Wasn’t archery hard when you first started that?” Bucky asks.

“No! That came naturally to me! With this, I have to actually work for it.” He gives Bucky his best puppy eyes. “I think I need you to show me again.”

Bucky rolls his eyes fondly, a smile on his face, and takes the guitar back. “You better pay attention this time,” he warns.

He starts to play and Clint is immediately entranced. Honestly he’s not even paying attention to the actual guitar playing, he’s more focused on the little strands of hair escaping Bucky’s bun and the peek of tongue he can see poking out of Bucky’s mouth as he concentrates, and - Fuck. Aw, feelings, no. He sort of gets lost in Bucky’s face as he watches him play, and when Bucky looks up at him, Clint blinks, struck with the intensity of his stare.

“You’re not even paying attention,” Bucky complains.

“I am so!” Clint protests. “Just... not to the guitar,” he mumbles. “Can’t help it if you’re distracting.”

“I’m- oh. You think- me?” Bucky says, eyes wide. Clint shrugs helplessly. “But I’m not-”

Clint stops him. “If you end that sentence with anything other than a giant six headed alien, I will smack you! You’re amazing, Bucky Barnes, and I will hear nothing to the contrary.”

Bucky blushes, and the sight of his cheeks slowly turning pink is probably the best thing Clint’s ever seen in his life. “I think this lesson is over,” he says quietly, putting aside the guitar.

Clint’s heart sinks. “Oh,” he mutters. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to-”

“If you end that sentence with anything other than be so adorable that you made me forget everything I know multiple times, I will throw you out a window,” Bucky says, eyes sparkling with mirth. “The lesson is over because I want to take you on a date.” He holds out a hand to Clint. “What do you say, sweetheart?”

Clint blinks at him, silent for long enough that Bucky’s grin falters. “Yes!” he   blurts, grabbing Bucky’s hand. “I say yes!”
