Hey uhhh this is like my second request so far :P im kind of annoying but i love who you write actually Merula and Chiara?! And "Have I ever told you your eyes shine with the moonlight?"
"Damn Lobosca, you shouldn't sit in the shadows like that, the first year's will think you're a ghost."
Chiara looks up sharply from her notebook, splayed out on her lap, her thin cursive letters spiralling out across the pages.
She looks startled for a second, her cool blue eyes suddenly cold and dark. But they thaw once she properly takes in the girl in front of her.
"Oh? And what's keeping you up then?"
Merula shrugs, digs her hands deep into her pockets and runs her thumbs over the seams.
"Nothing much," she casts her gaze down on the girl on the stairs, "what's it to you anyway?"
Chiara folds the notebook closed, smoothing the silver cover down with her palm,

Chiara laughs and pushes herself to her feet. She takes a few steps to the windowsill opposite where the night ripples onyx and indigo.
Leaning out, she whispers,
"Have I ever told you how your eyes shine in the moonlight?"
Her throat tightens and Merula fights to tighten her grip on whatever the hell has spun out of place in her mind.
Constellations wind and twirl, Chiara is smiling at her.
"They're very pretty, Merula."
She is balefuly off-axis.
Her white hair falls in thick strands across her cheeks. Merula would reach out and tuck them away, but the very idea of brushing her skin makes her hands burn in her pockets and stars spark in the corner of her vision.
Thank you? Merlin, she must really be losing it.
Perhaps the silence would have been awkward if Merula had been aware of it, but the sight of the soft silver glow enveloping Chiara in a velvety mist was quite enough to keep her occupied. It seemed to twist about her in feathery orbits, turning falling dust into shattered comets and golden rays.
She moves out of the light.
Chiara smiles, piling up her belongings in her slender arms.
The hufflepuff pauses, blinks,
