The Wanderer (3x02)
Vikings 3x02 reaction
Okay I'm glad to see that everyone was as confused about this episode as I was
The whole last threeish minutes were a total trip
I love how all it takes is one tear from Athelstan to make the fandom spring into war mode
So was Torstein dead at the end? That was the sense I got but it wasn't clear.
wow Kalf is the worst??? I don't think he cares about the complaints he raised against Lagertha as much as he simply wants her power. He is cute, though.
I KNEW WHAT JUDITH'S CONFESSION WAS GOING TO BE. I KNEW IT. I PREDICTED IT. I still almost screamed when she said it, though. What an elaborate way to flirt! Last episode had her fangirling over Athelstan, the dinner scene implied her to be infatuated with him; the logical next step was to reveal her sexy dreams about him. The whole fandom sympathizes with you, Judith. Now I'm wondering if Judith was the woman we saw in bed with Athelstan in the season preview last week? I didn't recognize her but I still don't know Judith's face perfectly and it was one shot from an angle that made it hard to see. Plus, Judith's confession was the voiceover at the moment. But I'm not going to go back and check to see if it's her because I want to be surprised.
I saw people freaking out about Athelstan having kissed Judith and I thought, if that happened, how did I miss it? But I see that it was a deleted scene. Good call, whoever deleted that scene. They're not there yet. That's out of character for Athelstan.
I love how Aslaug, Helga, and Siggy are having synchronized prophetic dreams and meanwhile in England Judith is dreaming about Athelstan.
Wow Aethelwulf can be scarier than I realized and I'm worried about how he might react if he finds out that Judith is in love with Athelstan.
Ecbert has this sort of . . . slimy? quality to everything he says so that I never know if I should trust him. But I do think he genuinely likes both Athelstan and Lagertha. He and Lagertha make a great (non-romantic) team. I hope they remain allies.
Lagertha is so attractive when she's farming.
I haven't mentioned Ragnar because I don't really remember what he did in this episode, other than look threatening as usual and comfort Torstein? Oh, and he acted suspicious with Aethelwulf and talked to Kwenthrith.
Wow it sucks to be Kwenthrith, no judgment on her for being so bloodthirsty
Oh yeah, Bjorn and Þorunn—that was not a very romantic proposal, but I find the awkwardness and Ron-and-Diane-style simplicity of their relationship endearing. Bjorn needs to be less controlling though. I know Þorunn is inexperienced but he can stand to back off a little bit.
At least Siggy had lines in this episode (I could be wrong but I don't remember her saying anything last week) but I hope she starts having personal storylines again soon.
I do not trust the Wanderer.
