I think one of my favorite little things in Vortex is when Vik splits off from the friend group after Yuri's incident. It's just something you'd never expect from such a power of friendship type story. But it makes sense. And Vik's departure and avoidance of his friends is never judged, he's never seen as a fair weather friend. Because it makes sense! It makes so much sense for his arc.
