Could we just stop for a moment and appreciate the importance of this gesture? Is it just me or is it really the first time Viktor touches Yuri in any other way than gently or not-so-gently-but-protecting?

Episode 10 of Yuri!!! on Ice

how the “engagement” scene, if you just muted their lines, that’s exactly what was happening. they were in front of a church with a choir in the background and freaking church bells rang as they exchanged rings, but their dialogue was completely casual and mundane, and almost seemingly unrelated. Is this something else they can’t show in an anime without the rating going up or something? 

Or did they choose to make it less overt, and not having it in their conversation because their romance isn’t the center of the plot, Yuri’s skating is, and the conversation was about that?

But PICHIT’S hawk eyes seeing the rings and immediately congratulating them. I thought he was gonna be bummed for a second with his gasp. but the reaction was cute and perfect. Like he’d totally want to be their wedding planner.

I love that this was in Viktor’s pov. I wasn’t expecting that. I like when they switch perspectives like that in regards to romance.

THINK of all the changes to the perception of episode 1, knowing that this episode’s end title sequence happened BEFORE Yuri’s scene at the airport where Viktor asked if he wanted a photo.

and just that, it wasn’t some whim of Viktor’s only seeing the viral video. Even if he was drunk, Yuri put the idea in his head. But obviously Viktor didn’t do anything cuz hey, it was a drunk skater at a party who he met once, who maybe was kind of cute and they danced together. So he probably mulled over the idea of maybe coaching SOMEONE, whilst preparing (or putting off preparing) for a new season but without inspiration and THEN seeing that drunk guy who asked him to be his coach, if he won the dance-off, skate his routine spectacularly in the viral video. Like, knowing Viktor, that was probably like some kind of sign to him, hence, he booked a flight and knew exactly where to go.

But man, Viktor was hurt by Yuri not remembering. All this time I bet he thought Yuri was just embarrassed (cuz that’s almost always true outside the rink) and wasn’t going to bring up the topic unless Yuri did, out of respect.

Up til episode 10, the whole thing was in Yuri’s POV, so since he didn’t remember, there’s no way we could’ve known about this little event.

and Yurio sounds mad about having had to do it but he’s so fucking focused in those pics. He probably liked it, but was upset that he liked it.

He and Chris were basically a strip show from those pics. Quite a bit of skin on skin, man.

also, the danceoff and this kind of loveydovey behavior is TOTALLY believable cuz consider episode 9. Yuri’s hug fest where he just went up to EVERY FREAKING competitor and hugged them without ANY reservation. He was like a fucking koala bear. And Yurio’s panicked running makes even more sense now. That behavior probably REMINDS him of something, and he was like “not agaaain.”

so many aspects of some damn good fanfic and it’s a FREAKING ORIGINAL ANIME. Like, I swear. It’s like a tumblr fandom cooked this up with all its little nuances
