Clint/Bucky | Teen | Soulmates | Chap 1 of 4

Clint had tried hard not to think about what his preparations for his soulmate would look like, if he ever even got close to meeting them, but stockpiling weapons and ammo was pretty much the opposite of what he'd hoped for. What kind of person needs that many kinds of bullets?

Meanwhile, the Asset is struggling to stick to his mission parameters when something in him keeps insisting he needs to buy coffee and memorise any dogs he sees.

I did not realize how useful a bunch of tiny crochet human skulls should be for me the new sewer & quilter (I was just gonna keep 'em in a bowl for the aesthetic, but now I can stab them with pins for the aesthetic!!!). I love the pentapus a totally normal* amount.

Does sugar daddy Clint have any wobbly moments about the age difference/Bucky’s motivations etc? 💜

All of Clint’s wobbly moments are related to Clint’s extremely limited supply of self-esteem tbh. I think I hit most of this in the fic, but Clint is more like ‘what can this young, beautiful, brilliant man possibly see in me, the old, crusty Avenger whomst has nothing to offer him except that I can buy nice things and have very good bedroom skills?’  

He never thinks Bucky is using him, if that’s what you mean. I feel like even though their age difference is fairly substantial, I made Bucky old enough and experienced enough to mitigate the gap.  

Clint is just waiting for the shoe to drop, for the moment when Bucky Realizes He Can Do Better

Bucky is mostly just like - hot older man who ***** me down real nice and also gives me presents? Yes please.  He’s not there for anything transactionary, which is why the confrontation with Tony at the end gives him such a visceral reaction. 

TBH I did not do a very good job of making this Sugar Daddy AU about sugar daddies at all :shrug emoji:

14- Has a fanbase ever made you ship or not ship something? Why?

The winterhawk community definitely fuelled my love for those idiots and I appreciate them for it. It’s my favourite place and I love this whole bar. Thank you to all my winterhawk friends. 

(That being said, the Stony - and Stucky, sometimes - fandbase terrifies me. I’m only a marshmallow.)

16- Are there any ships you just can’t/don’t understand? What are they?

Starker, but that’s for another time. There’s a lot of ships I don’t necessarily get - Frosthawk, Rumlow/Rollins, MCU SteveSharon, but that’s the case with any fandom, right? We all got different tastebuds.

Hopefully! We haven’t tried it yet. I’m still worried it isn’t cooked in the middle, even though I poked it about ten times with a skewer and it came out clean every single one of them.

Ha! You did not see me trying to get the damn thing off the wire rack and onto the plate. I was very un-godlike then. Much waggling things and wiggling things and swearing at things and splatting. There is a reason I took the picture from that angle, and that reason has everything to do with the bit of glaze I scraped off onto the wire rack as I was transferring it.

Winterhawk Domesticated shit is basically my version of the boys are on the farm together and healing broken assassin hearts. You know, the thing almost every winterhawk writer does. The grocery shopping porn (its not really porn.... Yet...) Will probably go in this verse. There will be some vague mission thing. I'm not explaining it well because this is probably my least worked on wip.

Snippet:

"I know." Clint didn't pout. "I was a spy."

Bucky slowly, pointedly raised an eyebrow.

"Oh fuck you. I was. I know you speak like 30 languages but I know seven and that is not inconsiderable so suck my ass."

Bucky grinned at him and Clint just grumbled more and waved a hand at him before turning back to watch the scene below. Fucking sniping assassins. Jerks. The whole lot of them. And no, that didn't include him because he was an archer and it was different.
