NOT to annoy u but i’m obsessed w The Yellow Wallpaper and ur right abt it being abt postpartum depression! specifically it was a criticism of how women’s mental health was treated in general during that time (1890s)! Charlotte Perkins Gilman drew from her own experience (not from postpartum, but treatment for depression in general) for it! I have a scarf that has the entire story printed on it in tiny letters. sorry for infodumping dhdjgdh
