But do you have future plans to update Vindictive Care it’s fine if you don’t I’m just curious if you will.

But I really loved the story and the au you came up for the two skelies like it felt really fleshed out and interesting because I personally haven’t seen it before and with the super steampunkyness of it too

Okay I’m going to stop now but I’d just like to know and you don’t have to respond either

a direct continuation to the previous ask, ive got ideas to either continue the fic or rewrite it. we'll see where it goes, im currently struggling with my own motivation as well as irl problems like the weather currently making my pc connection nonexistent so i cant even access my stories in my usual way and writing on my phone is not an option

Preconceived Notions vs. Voidshift

Hey guys, someone asked a question earlier on Ao3 about Voidshift and the AU’s relation to Preconceived Notions, and I thought I should share the answer here too.

Also, I got fanart!!! @vento-store​ drew Gull and Verity, and it’s really cute! I love it!

For those of you who may have scrolled down far enough on this blog, you may have noticed the AU cheatsheet I made titled ‘Voidshift’ followed by a possibly confusing set of names, words, and traits.

That is actually the precursor to Preconceived Notions! In other words, I originally wanted to write a complicated Undertale AU back then with at least one eldritch horror involved and came up with Voidshift. 

Preconceived Notions uses a completely different AU setting than Voidshift, though some of the plot points are the same as the ones in Gull and Verity’s original AU. I won’t be going more into that until I get farther along with Preconceived Notions, though. (I don’t want to give away spoilers!)

If you want more on that, pretty much a few days after I started planning Voidshift, I discovered Vindictive Care by vindictiveskeletons (now known as @a-non-ymouswriter​ ) and liked their ideas so much that my original plan was completely derailed. In the end, Preconceived Notions was created instead!

I still plan on going back to work more on Voidshift when I get the chance, but currently my focus is on continuing Preconceived Notions and working through some other fandom events to improve my writing.

so i have literally nothing to do at work right now because our lab is still being assembled SOOO this happened.

obviously the first skel is my son rune from parallel lines, and then there's a visor and chine from @vindictiveskeletons 's fic vindictive care which inspired rune's fic. i'm still not sure if rune's design is final but it's at least a rough idea of how he looks, so good enough for now.

So...

i’ve got pent up guilt and i’m wondering what the hell to do.

i love Undertale, i really do and i love my boys Visor and Chine. however my motivation to write Vindictive Care has admittedly dwindled since December and i still haven’t written the next chapter for it. 

also i sort of kind of lied about the writing the hiatus? sure i haven’t written for Vindictive Care or Monsters In The Forest but i HAVE been writing other things. that aren’t undertale... and over the past three months i’ve just been writing that anonymously.

i’m considering whether or not to drop the anonymous again but also rebrand my blog because while i still love skeletons, my current fixation and writing has... DEFINITELY CHANGED to say the least.

at some point i want to say that i’ll update Vindictive Care and Monsters In The Forest some day again but, that day is not today or any time soon. but the guilt of putting down both stories to focus on another two stories that admittedly have more updates compared Care and Monsters, is more than a bit much and i have no idea what to do. 

a lot of you guys followed me for both of my stories and Undertale and i feel guilty for not providing that, but i have to face the facts that i’m not writing either story for the moment and for the foreseen future so... 

i’m really sorry about that.

i’m still trying to decide of whether or not to stay anonymous for the other stories but if i do, that means i’ll need to change my blog, the name, the contents, all that stuff and i feel bad about it. 

is that weird or-

ugh i don’t know but i need some advice and i need to hear everyone out before i decide anything.
