The "Goliath" robot was approximately 9' tall and weighed an estimated 4,000 lbs. The special effects company hired to create Goliath had only 3 1/2 months to produce the robot from the initial drawings to the finished product.

I try to tell myself that designs don't always have to be politicized or commentary or whatever. They don't have to "mean something". which is why I have hesitation about, say, this cyborg graphic for instance.
But the almost adult doomery part of my brain says "well that's bullshit, yes it does, it just doesn't have to be deep or complex, just slap something together on top." and I'm like, "oh yeah!".
there, now I'm happy with it.
Someone explain to me how the fuck THAT works....
Virus (1999)
What we watched: Virus.
Who we watched it for: Jamie Lee Curtis.
(that's not her. that's just the most accurate gif Tumblr had for this god awful picture)
What we thought: Jamie Lee refers to this film as 'the worst movie ever made'. We are inclined to agree, Ms. Curtis.
WHEN COMIC BOOK MOVIES GO DARK IN THE SCI-FI/BODY HORROR VEIN -- IT'S A.I. BUTCHERING HUMANKIND IN 1999.
NOTE: My best friend included this movie in a stack of DVD's he lent me earlier this week, and I thought it was a really brutal/gruesome take on the sci-fi/horror/action movie genre. The fact that it's based on a Dark Horse Comics property only enhances its appeal, personally.
