The exterior of the Milwaukee Art Museum is as impressive as the works it houses. I walked through the modern gallery at the Milwaukee Art Museum and felt like someone was invading my personal space. It was me, in fact, who had passed too closely to an eerily human-like exhibit. Entitled "Janitor," this piece by American artist Duane Hanson (1925-1996) leans against the wall in the space on the first floor. The piece is constructed of polyester, fiberglass and mixed media.
